Feels like maye has the easiest schedule in Super Bowl history and played at a level he should have never played at….Jermey Lin style lol.

Never liked maye and he totally benefited from the easiest schedule ive ever seen

still with the 1-2 wtf throws every game, but high risk high reward.

I can live with a head-scratcher every now and again. Fortunately, he is better than his competition.

lol yeah high risk high reward.. that's Purdy way

I don't think that is a fair/accurate assessment.

Purdy is a very accurate passer, and reads defenses like no one else in the league. As a result, he can put balls into places that most other QBs not only wouldn't see, but wouldn't try because they are not that accurate. The windows may be too small for a lot of QBs but because Purdy see it early, and throws to spots, he completes passes that are high reward but for Purdy, it isn't that much of a risk.

I agree. The tight windows he throws at are just something only he can do. Mahomes may be able to throw 100 yards on a rope, but Brock can hit a mosquito from 50 yards away!

0 wtf throws or even bad throws vs the Dolphins.

Which throw yesterday was a WTF throw? He missed a couple there but don't recall any WTF throws either.

That's the thing with a lot of these wow throws. An inch off the mark and what gets praised like a crazy throw can be an ugly pick.

As long as Brock continues to procees the game at a high level and make smart and accurate throws we'll be in great shape. He'll have a stinker here and there like any great QB and things aren't getting easier with all the injuries but hes done a really good job to limit bad plays.

Next 2 games will be really interesting. Last year Purdy had a similar 3 game run after he recovered from his toe injury (131 QB rating, 13 total TDs with just 2 ints).

Then we played Seattle and couldn't do anything against them (twice). Hopefully it's a different story this time, but I don't think our weapons scare them much.

Last year we didn't have Evans, Deebo and Kittle, we didn't have a reliable RB2, and our OLine looks different this year. Also, Seahawks lost Walker who had an MVP season last year.

I'm going to move him back into the Brock_STAR category.

And if he throws a few interceptions? Move him back to the s**t list? Lol

I like Brock a lot and support him. Sometimes I would get a little upset and be emotional after some bad games. Like the Ravens game. LOL. But I generally like and support him. I think he's very good. Sometimes I just complained that he's not like Mahomes. Which most QB's are not. He's his own version of very good. We will see how far it can take us. It would help us if this team could get and stay more healthy. If so we have a real chance this year. Maybe to go all the way.

People that complain about that Ravens game need to rewatch it. Like really though.

His own version of very good. Pretty sure he is just very good.

The one that was almost picked by wingard. 4 defender 1 wr and it wasn't even close to wr. Score was 23-13 at the time
Just for fun, I asked ChatGPT to recount some of the dumb stuff that each of the top QB's pulled this week. The list includes bad throws, lowlights, and bad luck. List order is not a ranking.

MATTHEW STAFFORD

With 4:49 remaining, Stafford threw toward Kyren Williams and watched Talanoa Hufanga jump the pass for a 66-yard pick-six. Then Hufanga intercepted him again in the end zone on the game's final play, ending the comeback attempt. A veteran understands the importance of building chemistry with a reliable target. Unfortunately, Hufanga plays for Denver.

JOSH ALLEN On first-and-20, Allen targeted DJ Moore over the middle and Genesis Smith broke on the release for an interception. First-and-20 is stressful, so it was thoughtful of Josh to let someone else deal with it.

JOE BURROW With Cincinnati at Pittsburgh's 38 and 53 seconds left, Burrow lost the ball on Derrick Harmon's strip-sack, ending the potential tying or winning drive. Already within shouting distance of a tying field goal, Joe opted for the express checkout.

JORDAN LOVE Under pressure with 1:18 left, Love's red-zone pass intended for Jayden Smith went to Xavier Watts instead. The precise read error isn't established, but after a long drive and several conversions, he finally completed one to someone who wanted it over as badly as the fans.

JUSTIN HERBERT Just after Buffalo handed the Chargers a short field, Herbert targeted Marquez Valdes-Scantling at the goal line and found C.J. Gardner-Johnson instead. Buffalo gave you the football five times; very sporting to observe the gift-return policy.

DAK PRESCOTT His late pass toward CeeDee Lamb nearly became a Nate Wiggins interception before a disputed interference call rescued Dallas. Apparently the receiver's job now includes catching the ball, preventing the interception, and successfully litigating the possession.

DRAKE MAYE Maye threw an interception to Travis Hunter before halftime on a ball New England's own analysis called ill-advised. Hunter plays offense and defense, and Drake thoughtfully made sure he got a receiving opportunity anyway.

TREVOR LAWRENCE His pass toward Brenton Strange was broken up by Jaylen Reed and deflected to Marcus Jones for an interception. Quarterback blame is unproven: Trevor completed the first leg of the journey, and the receiving department arranged an unauthorized connection.

JALEN HURTS Hadn't played within the Thursday–Sunday cutoff, neatly avoiding the entire Sunday disaster reel by exploiting the advanced tactical concept of playing Monday.

JARED GOFF Goff took a 10-yard sack on third down when Andre Cisco came through on a blitz. Whether the fault belonged to Goff or the protection isn't established, but third down proved an excellent time to explore a fresh set of yard markers in the wrong direction.

C.J. STROUD His final desperation heave sailed out of bounds, short and wide of the end zone. More poor execution than foolish decision: the Hail Mary reached someone who bought a ticket, but unfortunately they weren't eligible.

PATRICK MAHOMES His pass to Rashee Rice ricocheted into Jacob Rodriguez's hands for an interception. More bad luck than bad decision—the playbook said "Rice," but apparently that was just the first stop on the itinerary.

BROCK PURDY No verified individual blunder here. The late clock-management debate involved Shanahan's play call and Kittle's decision to score, so Brock's biggest offense was leaving the roast writer to investigate the coaching staff.

Yes, lol. He's either the greatest of all time or needs to be replaced by Gardner Minshew yesterday...

Not entirely the same given that Brock played well and put the 49ers in position to win the Super Bowl (wasn't the reason we lost, but the reason we had a chance to win) and Maye wasn't even close to that.

Maye was overrated. His SB performance was abysmal imo. Watching that game i said - nope, he is not him. Tbh that's what I said about Jimmy back in 19. When you have an and SB. a lot of guys never recover.

Brock played very well in his appearance. He had one or two plays he missed or simply could have read better later in the game, but as you said he did his part. I think we all know he would have thrown a dart to BA if he had more than .3 seconds to throw.
