1 was a drop by Deebo and the other was a busted play (at least looked like it) that resulted him trying to throw it away and was a penalty.

Not a bad day at the office. What makes this performance so impressive, IMO, is he made some really incredible throws. 2 of them to Mike Evans l, real tight window hard throws.

I love what Brock has been doing this year. Just need to see it vs Denver and Seattle who will definitely speed up his processor.

But boy was yesterday impressive. Just perfect QB play. Sure the competition was nothing special but it was still an NFL team out there. Brock's stat line may not be as clean and the offense not as impressive against those better defenses but we're clearly seeing a better Brock out there. Just wish we'd stop dropping WRs every game. May not need those guys vs the Dolphins of the world but vs better defenses it will be a grind again if we can't stay healthy.

We'll see what kind of challenge Arizona provides this week. They have a lot more talent on D than the Dolphins did.

Denver game we will probably be a little short handed but I kinda like Watkins and a couple of guys on the PS. They're not world beaters but not scrubs either, IMO.

Against Denver, we will really need our defense to show up and help out. We should have some reinforcements for the Seattle game.

brocks arm does look better. Idk if it's cause he's it's been almost 2 years since the injury, but his zip looks improved. Similar to his rookie year.

if the o line keeps playing like this, he's going to have a colossal year

I said it before: Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, and Lamar are imo fair to rank higher than Purdy. I would place Brock 5th right after them. And some would even argue Lamar is not as good either anymore. That's all in the weeds.

Give this guy time and he will make good plays. I hope we get WR back and healthy as the season goes on.

I love Purdy, incidentally. Nor do I hate on Herbert, or whoever. Good guys all. My problem is with the Steven Ruizes of this world. The "Oh, my lord, a 6'6' Football Robot (TM). I'm hyperventilating. What a man!" crowd.

EDIT: Although the footage during the broadcast of Purdy next to Marino was hilarious. OK, Marino has put on some bulk in middle age, but it was like seeing a dad next to his 12 year old son.

I didn't see the game yesterday thanks to the NFL's rules but I saw the highlights and it looks like Brock had an amazing day. Accuracy was off the charts. It sucks that we had another injury to the WRs. Injuries always happen in football but when so many happen at one position it really hurts.

Mahomes certainly. Allen perhaps, very impressive. Jackson more questionable, he has had way too many collapses in too many games compared to Purdy. Burrow why? Fine athlete, sure, but why is he better? Forget "measurables" and hero-ball (incidentally one of Purdy's bad tendencies). What has he actually done that is so much more amazing? And I say this again - I like the guy actually.

Burrow and Purdy have actually had very similar careers, both in terms of stats and team success (both lost 1 SB). Look at Burrow's 2020-2023 and Purdy's 2022-2025. Burrow's TDs and yards are a bit higher, but otherwise very comparable.

Burrow 2020-2023

Total Games Played: 52 regular season games

Total Passing Yards: 14,083 yards
Total Touchdowns / Interceptions: 97 TD / 37 INT
Career Rushing (2020–2023): 139 carries, 605 yards, 10 rushing touchdowns

Purdy 2022-2025

Total Games Played: 49 regular season games

Total Passing Yards: 11,685 yards
Total Touchdowns / Interceptions: 84 TD / 37 INT
Career Rushing (2022–2025): 138 carries, 633 yards, 11 rushing touchdowns.

Agree on Pudy having more zip this year. His 20 yard bomb to Robinson last week was on a dime, just as his Evans throw which was almost a TD, by one yard was another dime throw.

What impressed me more was the accuracy and the catchable balls. The over the middle to Kittle was in his breadbasket and very catchable. Brock's wide receivers never seem to be catching the ball on their shoelaces or way above their heads.

I am not surprised at all by these stats. I really like Burrow, let me repeat. I have no problems considering him in the same breath as Purdy. Jackson has those (deserved) MVPs, so I'll put him just above, playoff meltdowns notwithstanding. Ditto Allen. But I query the automatic "he's on the top 5" calculation for Burrow simply because of his draft position.
