One of the main reasons Kyle went and drafted Trey was Jimmy's durability issues, not so much his QB skills. Brock's a lot better than Jimmy in the QB skill area.

One of the reasons Brock is not considered top five in a lot of non-49er fans eyes is that he's never *won* a Superbowl. One of the reasons Joe is considered legendary is because he won four 🏆's.

So win/loss percentage is a valid guage of a QB's skills, especially at the highest levels of competition.

SB games. That is something that gets little attention. He was the best in the biggest games.

He had the ability to slow the game down in high pressure moments. The moment never got too big for him. Remember the famous quote from him during the drive that won the Superbowl in the last seconds... (strolling down memory lane) ...

During a tense TV timeout with 3:20 left in the fourth quarter, trailing the Cincinnati Bengals 16–13, offensive tackle Harris Barton and other teammates were extremely nervous and high-strung. To break the tension and calm everyone down, Montana calmly pointed into the crowd and said, "Hey, isn't that John Candy?"

The lighthearted distraction worked, allowing the offense to relax before Montana drove the 49ers 92 yards down the field for the winning touchdown.

I was screaming so loud that my neighbors could hear me across the street.

I was just thinking of this. I guess Joe knew Candy before this took place, he wanted Joe to play for Canada. So, he had his eye on Joe for a while and was a familiar face. But Candy was so hilarious, just his presence there lightened up the tension on that drive. I also agree that Brock reminds me of Joe between the ears but physically more like Young.

His velocity looks exactly the same

If you wanna see him throw as hard as he can, watch his first 3 preseason games as a rookie. He throws with touch now, he's evolved.

I'll never forget watching that dolphins game, something about it felt magical and the birth of something historic.

i think Brocks throws looked the best they have in years, last week. You can tell he's healthy and confident. Brock looks like he was in total control and knew everything that was happening, all the time.

This week is a very young, inexperienced defense. I'm hoping that Brock looks like the top tier qb he is and carves them up. Growing up watching a lot of great QBs across the league, the best qbs played excellent week in and week out. That starts with Brock and not letting the guys around him become complacent when they're playing lesser competition..

The game thread from the last time Brock played against the Dolphins at home. Brock comes into the game around page 20. People knew by the end of the first half that Brock might be special.
