Seattle D kept the 49ers to 6 points and Pats to 13(including a garbage time TD)

Yes he had a great game vs the Rams but even in that game Rams muffed a critical punt and then still had first and 10 at the Seattle 12 and failed to score late in that game with the Seahawks D making a stand.

Question would be why does Darnold gets a pass for the other games? Where was the adversity he had to overcome? We've seen him crumble in those moments in the past but they were down for less than 2 minutes during their whole playoff run and that was by only 3 points.

Good for Sam for avoiding mistakes and doing what he needed to do to win those games but don't expect everyone else to be in awe of the guy for it.

this is not a good post imo first off it's not on topic second it's plain wrong to think darnold didn't have adversity guy got crushed and booed out of 2 cities and had to rebuild his entire career and btw he did that here and he credits Brock Purdy and SF as a big reason to bring it back on topic,

You can't be serious with this response.

if you didn't cut out the posts I was responding to you'd understand how the discussion fits Purdy.

Second I was very CLEARLY referring to adversity within those playoff games. Why would his time with the Jets or Carolina impact those games at all?

I thought he played well in Carolina but he really started seeing the field better under a better run and coached system in the 49ers with an effective running game and some play action down field. Sam throws a gorgeous deep ball. He's sort of the red headed version of Sam Bradford but with a better deep ball and sneaky great athleticism. His jumping ability is off the charts
Looks ready. He was a tad late on that throw to Deebo but hes ready for gametime
Is there a GM in the league who would take Daniels over Maye? I don't think there is. So that ranking is just bizarre.

I can see why the others are ahead of Purdy. Mostly due to success/past success/ overall resume. Love? Very debatable. I'd take Brock over him. Even if Love has more physical tools. I'd take Brock over Burrow since Joe is never healthy.

To be fair their ranking QB rooms here. Probably more trust in Mariota than Tommy Cutlets.

I am so ready for Dirty Purdy BCB, BDBRP, 7th Round Saint, Quadzilla action
Brock and the offense will need to carry the team, I don't think the defense is going to be very good, #10-15 being at the most optimistic
As if anybody needed more reasons to hate the national sports media. Saw this in the newsfeed in an article quoting Garrett Podell from CBS Sports about an area of Brock's game that he needs to improve,

"Like the rest of the San Francisco roster, Purdy needs to work on improving his durability," Podell added. "He missed a combined 11 games across the last three seasons, including eight in 2025 with a turf toe injury. Shanahan is a master at maximizing whoever is on the football field, but it would be nice to see him work with a full deck for once. That may be difficult with much of his core on the wrong side of 30."

How do you improve your durability? Football is one of the most violent games on the planet. No matter how well you take care of your body the chances of you getting hurt on any given play are probably pretty high. Ricky Pearsall said until he got to the NFL he had never missed a game due to injury. Nick Bosa seems to be a guy who takes really good care of his body, not only in terms of working out, but in what he eats, and he's had three ACL tears. Granted, the Niners seem to have had more than their share if injuries, but still the idea that you can "work" on your durability is a pretty stupid one.

Did he have the same comments for Joe Burrow? I do agree in a way though, we need Brock healthy. Despite what some claim the drop off from Brock is considerable. But yes it's not something he can "work on" the injuries that have taken him out for multiple games really haven't been anything he can control and it's stupid to call them out.

Brock unfortunately will always have questions by people looking at his draft slotting and his size/arm strength. It is what it is. Funny thing is every time I see a new QB based discussion on twitter and someone posts up a chart/ranking there is Brock, usually on the good/great side of that chart. Like this hilarious discussion about Jared Goff being good under pressure leading to a guy post up rankings for each QB when kept clean and when under pressure.

Goff 1st when kept clean, 28th when pressured.
Purdy 2nd when kept clean, 4th when pressured.

10 to 15 would actually be amazing at this rebuilding stage
Brock absolutely needs to stay healthy this season. Only one season he's played a full 17 games plus playoffs.

I agree 100%. Per the author of the article quoted above, I'm not sure how somebody "works: on their durability apart from making a concentrated effort to stay out of harm's way, which isn't really how the game is played.
