So according to you; all our franchise QB needs is 3 HOF WRs in their prime on offense (along with the HOF TE and HOF RB we have) and the number 1 ranked defense and special teams. Completely sounds like a guy worth throwing $55mil a year at to be able to rely on carrying a team like franchise QBs do

You quoted him and still decided to make up something he didn't say.

What's the intent here?

You talking about me saying the bolded? He said it yesterday. Again; tell me what I made up please and then tell me your intent on quoting me saying that I make stuff up.

Do I need to explain to you how the two posts are talking about two different things?

One post is implying if he had 3 HOF WRs he'd break passing records.

The other is talking about his ability to win a SB and doesn't mention anything about passing records.

Please don't play dumb. You combined two separate posts in an attempt to instigate a conversation that wasn't there. Including the last part laughing at the idea that Brock should be paid what he is and requiring all those things.

Play dumb? Wow; I guess mods are allowed personal insults now? You and I just interpret it differently I guess. It's about what our QB needs is how I read it; regardless what for. I combined the two because according to him, our QB needs unrealistic things to accomplish said things.

And yeah I do find it funny that a top paid franchise QB getting paid that kind of money would need all those different things he's talking about in order to win a SB or break records or whatever. The QB is expected of NOT needing those things when you get paid like that; comes with the territory. And despite what you might believe I was "instigating" I DO NOT think Brock needs the #1 defense and special teams to win a SB nor do I think we will be having that any time soon anyways.

The 3 Mike Evans in his prime or HOF WRs was funny in and of itself.

I can post whoever I want as long as it doesn't break the rules and I post more than just his so you can't even say that I only post him and as the Mod Genus49 has said it doesn't break any rules. If you don't like it then just ignore it, hell you two can even put me on your ignore list it wouldn't change anything. Not my fault it gets you 2 all up in feels....

This is literally you 2 with a post that has absolutely nothing to do with you guys..

"I need you to be like the greatest qb of all time". Lmao you can say this about 99.99% of QBs ever. Lol everyone wants that.

i like Donte but some of the stuff he says is a perfect example of just cause someone played the game at a high level - that they don't know everything or have all the answers.

Theres a reason that most of the greatest coaches of all time didn't play ball in the nfl. Same with GMs. Howie Roseman probably never played a snap In junior high.

Yup; brought us back from I believe a 17 point deficit and was absolutely the best player on the field. We don't win that game if it weren't for him.

But Dante is also right; thus far, Brock has not been nor needed to be a drop back/dissect the defense and have 40+ pass attempts like other QBs; He's had to do that exactly one time in his NFL career.

Simply put; he's no longer Mr. Irrelevant who's far exceeding expectations, the contract changes that. Some of you may not like it but that's reality and he will be judged and criticized as the top paid player on our team and one of the highest paid in the NFL, because that's what he is now.

Don't play dumb is not a personal insult. It's a response to your post where you can't possibly believe both posts were somehow talking about the same thing.

Yeah the 3 HOF WR thing was comical, which is why it shouldn't be lumped with the other post.

I've said a lot of different things on here I certainly wouldn't like someone to pick and choose my posts and make a narrative from them that clearly wasn't what I was saying.

Nobody said that Brock needs all those things or he can't be a successful QB. In general I think you'd agree ability to win the SB is aided greatly by top flight D and special teams also goes a long way.

There have not been many QBs who won it all without those things. I do agree with you that I don't think Brock needs the over the top stuff like #1 D and ST with elite playmakers everywhere but I also don't think Giedi really meant that as an absolute necessity.

If I missed your attempt to laugh off at that extreme idea then sorry for the misunderstanding but it read to me like you were poking a bit since the two posts were clearly not talking about the same situation.

I will admit I find people jumping at Brock's salary a bit of a sore spot too so that didn't help. His contract is not an issue at all imo and unlike some media guys have blindly claimed, Brock has done more with less but having more would certainly be welcomed.

Agree💯%. Brock is a topflight QB. With all the injuries on offense and defense last year - we *still* made the playoffs. That's what a top flight **TOP 10** QB does.

Donte is an idiot with this take no matter how you slice it. He's the first one to yell at how the tape shows it all and here he is ignoring the obvious to make an absolutely ridiculous take.

First of all using the "he's not a QB who can bring you back down 3 TDs" as a bar is like saying a safety who isn't getting 3 picks per game isn't any good. It happens so infrequently that using that as a bar is beyond stupid. First of all you want your QB to play well enough that he doesn't need to play with a huge deficit.

Second Mahomes himself has done this like once in his career.

As for the need to have Brock throw 40+ times in a game…why? This team has never been strong on the OL. The scheme itself is not a great fit for just line up and air the ball out because of how the OL is built. Why should that be the goal for Brock?

Somehow his requirement for Brock to get his flowers is to ask him to play well in a situation the team isn't built for? That's like saying Whitner needs to be able to play as a shutdown safety behind a trash DL. Maybe he can do it but it's obviously not an optimal situation for a safety to perform well in.

The two years where the team's playmakers weren't decimated at the skill positions Brock played at such a high level that he didn't get to have that many pass attempts because the games were becoming blowouts or the running game was playing at a super high level that he didn't need to keep throwing.

Last two seasons suddenly we have issues on the OL at times mixed with a weaker running game and skill players who are either inconsistent or banged up. Once again not really a recipe for sit back and dice them up for 40+ attempts a game right?

It's fine to have proper expectations for players but let's keep them realistic.

Beat reporters slapped by Kinlaw.

Cohn......
How many times has Mahomes actually come back from three touchdowns? I'll even be generous and say three scores (17 points) rather than 3 full TDs + EPs (21 points).

The answer: 3 times

2019 playoffs vs Houston (24 points)
2018 vs Tennessee (18 points)
2022 vs Raiders (17 points)

His next highest comeback is 11 points. So this idea that Mahomes is doing this 3 TD comeback 2-3 times a season is complete b******t.
