Lol

How in the actual f**k does Chris Simms have a job talking about football? He is possibly a more annoying, douchey asshat than Grant Cohn and that's saying a helluva lot. In what way is Purdy the 17th best QB in the league there's no explanation that makes any damn sense whatsoever you could give. It has to be some kind of publicity stunt that he's Shanahan's BFF.

17 is crazy lol. Thats just being disrespectful for funsies. Nobody who seriously watches the game puts Brock at 17.

Just 3 of them? Why not more since it's so easy to get 3 HOF WRs on one team.

Would also take 2 CMCs and 3 Kittles. Please and thank you.

As for Darnold being better than Purdy IMO...well until I see Darnold take a game over in the playoffs when he's getting pressured on the regular and not being protected by the running game or safe playcalling he'll be behind Brock to me.

I don't think Darnold is better than Purdy. But in my eyes, Darnold did all of the above against the Rams in the NFCCG. He played out of his mind in the biggest game he'd played in at that point, got nothing out of the run game, and was nails.

I think you need to go back and rewatch the game...it was a good showing for sure but far from the scenario I mentioned.

I think a few Trent Williams would go a long way…🤷🏼‍♂?

Agree to disagree. I've watched that game a few times. Darnold and JSN were the reasons Seattle won that game.

With 7 QB hits, 3 sacks, Seattle's defense and running game not showing up. Darnold did shoulder that game.

I definitely tipped my hat to him in that game. His showing a couple weeks later in the super bowl was, meh. But he absolutely balled out in the NFCCG.

Agreed. Credit where credit is due.
There is still a Darnold Purdy debate? Bwahhaha

He said the same thing prior to Brock's contract extension.

Darnold came to learn from Kyle and Purdy and not the other way around. Even then Kyle deemed Purdy the better of the 2 QBs

Fans get too hung up on where their favorite players are ranked by whoever. Does it matter? Does it make them play any better or worse on the field? They don't care what Simms or anyone else says about them unless it's the coach. Only one thing matters in sports and that's winning. Even being ther highest paid guy at your position isn't as important as winning a title.

BRock just needs to win a SuperBowl in order to change the opinions of a lot of ingnoramus football fans out there.

Eric Crocker thinks Sam Darnold is better than Purdy so you know, even in our own 49ers fanbase bubble, we have some weird takes.

I disagree with that take. Crocker can be a bit of a USC homer from time to time

Only from time to time?^^
Him and Brian Peacock are quite insufferable these days on LockedOn49ers.
They started their Purdy QB ranking episode by saying "We don't care about EPAs, you know who was great at EPA? Jimmy Garoppolo. We only trust our eye test.". Ok let's hear your ranking.
Then Crock said he thought Darnold was better than Purdy.
Of course they didn't mention the fact that Shanahan choosed Purdy over Darnold and that Kevin O'Connell didn't bother keeping Darnold.
