QB Brock Purdy Thread

In his "Instant analysis" post after the game he said Brock played great and heaped a bunch of praise on him, which will be his position until the next time Brock has a bad game at which point he'll immediately go back to saying that Mac Jones should start. That guy is such a tool.
Purdy destroys zone defenses. It's man coverage where they have struggled.

Well you need man beater receivers for that as well

Feels so good to have a win like this, at this point in the season. I've missed this. this time last year was depressing af.

I could say I am surprised about his performance but I'm not . So, I get to say I told ya all for a little bit lol. I would not have guessed five tds lol wow, but expected him to play at a high level after we clinched the playoffs.

I wish our D played better that first half but made some adjustments after half time and came up with some big time plays. The first half was a bit of a disaster, we just can't have that going forward. Rn I am concerned about Kittle:/ but we have seen what Tonges can do, so, not too worried..we just have some killer backups, don't we?

I love Trent but anything he says you have to take with a grain of salt. He compliments everything an anything. Brock could have thrown 5 INTs today and Tren would be on the podium smiling telling us about how brave and confident Brock was having trust in his receivers and giving them a chance.

He had some zingers back in the days praising how great Jimmy was…

We went through this before...stop making these absurd comparisons. You clearly have a hard time understanding context of what's being said and enjoy throwing out wild hyperbole.

Keep your posts to reality, not wild and absurd hypothetical takes.

I called 4! It's early in the pre game thread but I'm glad i was wrong and it was 5.

Kittle MAY miss a week but I hope not, he's critical to our run and pass game but maybe Brock is not enough to overcome it rn?

our defense isn't great but I do have faith in the coaches to "get it done", ya know? Like the adjustments and making the most of what we have. I still believe Fred is going to come back. I refuse to think he won't until playoffs are here and he isn't

How good can Brock Purdy be? He can be good enough to actually top tonight's performance. Like a six TD game. Maybe even seven if needed. We just might get to witness that as the season moves on. Right now, the kid is smoking hot. Every throw is money. As good as you think he is right now, I have a feeling that he will show us that he can be that much better.

As crazy as it is to say this after last night's performance but reality is this offense is still handicapped without a guy like Aiyuk out there at X receiver. We had no speed on the outside to really open things up.

That's why it's so upsetting that Aiyuk is now likely healthy but chose to just abandon the team and his teammates. This offense with Aiyuk back would give us that extra push we still don't have. Hopefully we manage to get it done without him but it does suck knowing what this team could be with Aiyuk, Bosa, Mykel and Fred out there.

Trent doesn't have to say all this. He means it because it's true. Not sure why someone in here has to "take it with a grain of salt" we all know Brock has the intangibles as a leader. He absolutely balled out last night. Nothing wrong with giving praise when it's earned. Brock has been playing good football.

Hmm I'd argue that we really just need Pearsall to be healthy. Obviously Aiyuk is a really good player and would make us better but I don't view having Pearsall over Aiyuk as us "handicapped".

when we Pearsall, Jennings, Robinson, Bourne, Kittle, CMC - that's a damn good lineup, they compliment each other very well if everyone is healthy. The real issue has been just health.

im confident we beat the bears with Kittle but if he misses the game, thats a HUGE loss for our offense (run and pass game - Kittle gets a lot of attention).

This guy/girl should be banned

It's straight troll behavior

Saw a rumor on Reddit just now that he played ill. Is that true?

Heard on the Postgame that he was dealing with a Cold or something.

Maybe he should play with a Cold every game.
