You just walloped Baltimore on the road. Buffalo almost certainly would have been another grand victory HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR YOUR OWN silly interceptions!
As it is, Cincy STILL got a fighting chance. Why not rally around all that's left, and do your best to make that season-concluding run?
This may be the last example people want to hear, but can you imagine a Ray Lewis EVER whimpering about "not having fun"?
As the starting QB, Joe, you got to be the strongest, mentally, of all!
Love the 49ers. Love the type of QB (accuracy-wise) Joe Burrow is.
But no, don't come to San Francisco. At least not right now.

I like him too and I could imagine being on the Bengals could be a bit draining mentally. However, "..not having fun..." that is kinda up to Burrow to have "the fun mentality". It is a choice. He wants to be a part of a more winning organization ..which would be more fun, I guess.

This kind of attitude..fits well with the Rams. So, yeah, I could see him going there. Which would suck obviously but I think they roll with Stafford. But who knows..Burrow sure would be tempting.

I don't think I could imagine Purdy saying something like, "It's not fun anymore." Lol..I mean, that's kind of a loser mentality or entitled..but Burrow is good enough to rightfully be entitled. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I might have missed it earlier, but doesn't Purdy have a no trade clause in his contract, This will never happen anyway.

Yes. This is literally what I've been saying for the last two days now.

It doesn't matter if we offer three 1sts and three 2nds to the Bengals and they're brain dead enough to listen. They're going to want Purdy coming back and Purdy is just going to say no.

Maybe he would like to go to Cincinnati and prove that his success isn't because of Kyle and the players around him.

Im sure the players around him narrative wouldn't change giving Higgins and that Chase fella.

It's more than just the WRs. The Bengals O line has improved but it's not great. Their running game is poor and their TEs are bad. In SF Purdy has CMC and Kittle. Big gap over the Bengals. On top of that the Bengals defense is bad. They often have to play from behind and don't get good field position.

Thanks for the thoughts Montana.
I look at it like this: The Bengals slugged their way through ALL those games when he was out. Burrow was patient enough, bold enough, to do all he needed to do to be ready to get back on the field.
First game back, Joe and all his ultra-talent, along with his team, SCORCH Baltimore.

Next game, another Victory is only a few driving miles away.
UNTIL, all is lost because of his OWN mistakes.
I can't imagine ANY of his teammates dropping their heads and placing the blame on Joe. I imagine instead everybody that could, coming to Joe and offering encouragement and telling him to "Keep your head up!"

But then Joe, in front of National TV cameras, showing no enthusiasm or thankfulness, cries, "I'm not having fun."

There's still a very small chance, for the Bengals to go on and capture the NFL world.
And I do feel for him for the unfortunate incident of his life – the home break-in – but man, you still got EVERYTHING!

Joe got to rediscover or find some passion. Find a way to lift up, inspire "His" team. Yes there are things I don't know about involving the Bengals. But Joe got to get in front of THEM to help fix those things. Not the whole rest of the world. The rest of the world ain't got time for that. Others' lives are complicated enough.

As a football fan, besides the 49ers, there is plenty of other NFL action I can enjoy, just be totally neutral in, and still enjoy.
Drake Maye and NE. Caleb Williams finding success. Chicago's rivalry with Green Bay. Whatever the heck it is little Jacksonville is trying to accomplish. And on and on.
If Joe Burrow wants to become a sad little saga, heck, then go on Joe.
The League's health is not riding on your "not having fun."

Good post.

It is a bit selfish of him to go and say that. It's not elevating/inspiring the team, it's distancing yourself from the rest of them, gotta be deflating for a locker room.
And also, to seemingly brush off his mistakes during the Buffalo game..not good leadership. A stand up guy would admit to mistakes, take responsibility and say I gotta do better (something Purdy does).

Didn't know about the break-in, definitely not fun but yeah, nothing to do with football. Could also want a location change after that though who knows. But yeah, "not having fun" sounds like a quitter mentality. Quitting on the team..kinda sounds a bit like Aiyuk territory. I wouldn't want that on the 49ers. As much as he is talented, there is a certain mindset that is expected, especially, in SF.

Agree and let's win this mf!
We do not have Taco Mac here but I may hit up a new tavern here that has killer chips n spinach dip
If you had the option of getting Maye, Daniels, or JJ McCarthy, who would you take? Shanahan's system requires a certain type of QB. So it's more than just talent.

Daniels went to the NFC title game last year. Lamar 2.0. JJM was MVP of the National Title Game. Maye is a good QB who could maybe be elite down the road. Purdy and a few 1st rounders would likely need to go the other way.
There isn't a single team in the history of the NFL that would take Purdy over Burrow. They are not on the same level.

Hated the Purdy contract now I find out he's got a NTC. Lol. That's beyond stupid. Especially for a player of Purdys caliber. Did Mayfield, Sam or Goff get one?
After watching burrow today I wouldn't want him if the bengals threw in picks. This guy is filled with quit. That joker costume never came off.
