Just chill out and let Kyle choose who he wants. What is the point in constantly calling out Brock for not being great last year? He was still top 10 in qbr and pff last year so it seems a little over the top

Lol. Stats… if we ever needed more reasons.

I watched the games then :)

You could also just pull a larger selection of stats if that's your thing.

Some people just can't accept criticism of the guy they like. Purdy fans can deny, explain away, make excuses, rationalize and whatever but the numbers can't be changed. Brock may come back and throw 20 TD passes with no INTs the rest of the year but it won't change what he's done in his last 5 games. Just like what he did in the last 5 games doesn't change what he did in 2023. Some of us are just pointing out the fact that he hasn't been good in those games and Jones has been good in the 3 he played.

It's not an argument to replace Brock as the starter when he's ready to come back but it does give him something to shoot for. Control that gunslinger urge and stop trying to make a big play when it's not needed. Take what's there and save the hero ball for the last second like he did with that throw to Tonges. It wasn't a great throw but at the time it was needed.

This is exactly the point I was making in the statement above. Pointing out the fact that Mac has played better so far this year isn't "calling out" Purdy. It's not a crime to point out when a player isn't playing well. Fans don't seem to have a problem with pointing out issues with rookies or other players that aren't performing up to expectations but for some reason fans get upset if you do it with the QB.

We really needed to pull a specific half-season sample from when Obama was still president to prove a point?

come on. Lol

What nobody undesrtands is that there won't be a QB controversy at all because that controversy only will be for journalists and fans but not for the team.

Shanahan will let the circumstances choose the QB because he will want the entire team on board and that means that the decision will be so obvious that won't be even a debate inside the team.

Mac has the keys now because he is the one playing. If he keeps playing well, protecting the ball and winning the entire team will be ok with him as the starter because at the end of the day what they all want is winning games. Heck right now the O-linemen already love him because he is getting rid of the ball very quickly and that means they don't have to pass-block for +3 seconds.

If Kittle comes back before Purdy I can see Mac having Pro Bowl-caliber games every week because if he looks good with Tonges just imagine how he will look with Kittle and Shanahan won't bench a QB that is having a Pro-Bowl caliber season with the team at the top of the conference.

If Mac keeps playing well and winning he will be the QB and at the end of the season ShanaLynch will decide what to do.

Just relax and enjoy the ride.

Purdy will be the starter when healthy. It's delusional to think otherwise. We should all be happy to have a guy as good as Mac in the wings, but Purdy knows this offense and has been a guy who has taken this team to the SB. He's not being benched.

You sound like a 9-year old kid saying that his 15-year old dog will live 100 more years.

Then what exactly is the point of having a parade around here over Mac playing good for 3 games?

I used an example of a s**tty qb outplaying a great qb for a stretch. Then somebody questioned the validity and I provided the stats. Not sure what's so dumb
