You call 20 crappy games a little inconsistency?

It wasn't 20 crappy games. The offense played fairly well in most games last year. It was the defense & ST that struggled more.

The offense had issues in the redzone and running, and Purdy had some bad games. But it wasn't a train wreck where he threw 25 INTs or something. In 15 games he threw for 3864 yards 20 TDs and 12 INTs with a 96.1 rating.

Mediocre! Not exactly 265M stats.

It was decent. Obviously not amazing. His contract was about his whole 3 years and projecting a 25-year-old QB into the future.

I'm fine with someone saying his 2024 was mediocre, and obviously the team success wasn't there either. But saying his last 20 games were "crappy" is an exaggeration in order to justify a fan's emotions about how much money someone makes when they aren't playing their best, even if they aren't playing terrible, either.

People really struggle saying someone is playing mid. Low mid, merely okay, mildly good - these are never the evaluations. It's always "He's awesome! Have my child!" or "He's terrible! GTFO you b***h!"

This game may be the best thing for Brock. Hopefully he's seeing he doesn't have to do as much as he's been trying to do.

If he can get back to just running the offense like we're seeing tonight sky's the limit.

I think this is the problem with fan forums. No one here hates Brock or want him kicked to the curb. What happens is people start debates and the talks tend to stray from the main points and it becomes "hate". When that's not always the argument. Just always seems to go that direction
Agreed. I would also add certain posters and maybe a mod can't accept that our qb1 is struggling. We know he is capable of more but the constant yeah but.. and this stat says this and that one says that becomes tiered and folks end up jumping on it and taking it too far.

Now that I agree with. He's got to get the balance back for his downfield shots. Got to be more "boring" and consistent in mid and short passes.

I hope the run game is at least this good when he's back, if not better. That would probably help pace him.

Agree. Should've let him play out this year to verify his trajectory.

I have a very strong feeling Brock is about to be placed on IR to save face and give the team to Mac

He better come back when he gets 100 percent. There is a lot of pressure on him.
Mac would have beat the jags. No doubt.

He would have won just by not giving it away, something giveaway king did all last season, maybe he was part of the problem
