Brock has shown he's got alot of ability without the best OL in the NFL already. Given that, when he has a string of not-so-good games, we can actually look at him and how he played without the pre-set "he has no OLine" thing.

No no. We can talk about Brock and stay on Brock and judge how he played. There ARE some QBs that have came and gone in the NFL that cant do well without a top OL,...but that aint Brock!! So really while some of you are trying to find ways to prop him up, you're really disrespecting him with these kinds of suggestions.

That was literally Brock in 2023 but sure…

Reread the bold. He's saying Brock can play well without a good oline. But it reads a little weird.

Lots of negatives in there and I'm not getting much sleep lately. My apologies for misreading it. Doesn't change the rest of my post though.

Yup! I couldn't believe what I was watching. His poise, confidence, execution. It was just great from the start.

now that we are healthy again, and a friendly schedule, we are going to dominate again. It's going to be a beautiful thing. Just need the boys to stay healthy

Yep staying healthy is key. Lol to think I got hate for wearing a Purdy jersey from other Niners fans at the Pro Bowl in '23..from Jimmy fans..saying that we need him, that Brock wasn't the dude. I said, "Jimmy is yesterday's news, this is the guy now." Lol haha it's always fun to exchange pleasantries at games

The throw to kittle on 3rd down & 10 is when I said uhhhhh.... That's not normal

And once again considering we rely on the center to make our protections you better believe to many of us he is under the microscope and while in 2023 it wasn't as bad…last year was.

If it was cuz of injuries that's great, hope he looks better this year if he's starting but we run a timing based offense where a lot of faults can be hidden if things are going well. When the top players are out and the QB/WR chemistry isn't what it used to be then issues on the OL will pop up more and more.

Just because there are issues league wide at the position doesn't mean we should burry our heads in the sand and pretend Brock's OL is good enough - especially with how Brendel or Banks played last year.

There were tons of plays where Brock salvaged a play with poor pass pro or breakdown in protection. There were plays where Brock held the ball too long and protection broke down. That tends to happen if the receivers aren't where he expects them to be. It all goes together.

But I know which position is tougher to play and that one had a 3rd year player playing it vs a 9 year vet.

I expect our $265M to "salvage" plays. I will put more pressure on the guy making a quarter billion dollars vs the guy making $16M.

for me I'm always gonna pt more on the QB than I am on the center. It's why they make a mountain of money…yes you can tie in poor plays from a center or WR for a bad pay…we should expect our highly paid elite QB to lift up everything and if he f**ks up all on his own, we should all be able to recognize it…just like ANY player on the team.

Yep, the way he came on the field with such poise, veteran like..defo not normal. I was still worried about our season after Jimmy's departure in that game..until the Tampa game..then I really haven't thought much of Jimmy since tbh..cept when he came to Vegas..to fly in a jet and leave lol.

Guys get paid in free agency. It doesn't always mean they're good.

Banks was not good. You and faithful bringing up the money he got doesn't change that fact. Maybe he was hurt and will be good for Green Bay, I don't care. He was not good here and that's the conversation I care about.

I never hated on McGlinchey as others have. He was a dominant run blocker and he was ok as a pass blocker. His issue was the bad beats that would stick in everyones memory.

However there is also a reason the team didn't bring these guys back.

s**tty players don't get paid $77M. Banks was a fine LG.
