What column will the extra game fall in? Win, loss…. Tie?

  • 270.3M in total cash over 6 years.
    • 5.3M in old cash and 1 remaining year that was extended.
    • 265M in new cash and 5 added years is the extension.
  • 8.5M cap hit in 2025
    • With a minimized salary for 2025, Purdy's signing bonus would be 36.9M.
  • 100M guaranteed at signing
  • 181M in total practical guarantees. 165.05M in practical guarantees through "the first three new years" (first four years...).

It's a great extension and a win win for both sides. We also have an out after year 3.

(Purdy ranks 151st out of 160 QBs with 50+ attempts in that scenario since 2000)

This is just so f**king stupid. Brock is great in most statistical categories but here you are finding that one sta he isn't good in. I bet Joe Montana, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady were pretty bad in a couple stats too if you look hard enough.

Isn't that a pretty important stat? The QBS you named are all incredibly clutch when it matters..

It's important but it's also wildly out of context.

In general Kyle's offense struggles in come back situations when we're forced to throw. Brock hasn't had many situations meeting those qualifications in his starting career because for the most part he has us well ahead in games or it's close.

This year we had a lot more of that but the whole team struggled and we had injuries galore. When you have guys dropping passes, calls not going your way or OL struggling to block so Brock gets hit that will impact the numbers.

Also this doesn't track if Purdy marches us down the field but the TD is ran in by a RB.

During the 2023 season we had those situations happen just 3 times. 2 of the games we were missing Trent and Deebo. The 3rd game was Baltimore where we were in a huge hole but really only the first pick Brock threw was a bad throw. Not to mention he didn't finish that game and yet it's still counted.

I put a lot more on what Brock showed in the playoffs vs GB, Detroit and even KC than those numbers taken out of context.

When the cap hit numbers come out - I'd almost guarantee that his first three years, the cap hit is under 20 each year. Fourth year is low 30s at best.

Not to mention this also excludes his performance when the game is tied in the 4th/OT.

a lot of stupid fans complaining that the window's closed because now we wont be able to afford anyone else in order to compete lol
Good. Deserved. He will have to make sure, as the leader on offense, that he/the offense is ready to win some close games (maybe a lot). The defense (rookies) could take a little while to adjust to next level and as a whole, build up the chemistry. I believe BP / offense will get off faster at beginning of season even w/out BA and Robinson and CMC coming off injury (they say CMC looks good).

where does it say that about the out after the 3rd year?
How many guaranteed years is all I care about
Dude still gonna commute with a Toyota. Last pick of the draft to 265 Mil-- incredible. Cinderella story, but not really, pretty much all Brock making it happened.

Think it just makes sense given the vast majority of the guaranteed money is coming in the first three years of the deal.
