The entire NFL fanbase that doesn't live in KC or Miami (ie can't watch a local simulcast) needs to boycott that game. Absolutely ridiculous. If Peacock does well, we're going to start seeing pay-per-view fees for every individual game watched Hope a message is sent and very few people watch it.

If they do a pay per view for like 5.99 per game, I would jump on that in a heart beat.
You would pay 40 dollars to watch the wild card round?

This is one of the major reasons why we can't let Aiyuk go. I also think that he will be more complimented with Purdy as his QB and vice versa as they continue to play together. They're both very young and together, if they keep building the harmony that they developed between them, it's sky's the limit between these two.

I didnt need to see a chart to know that not only can we not let him go, but that we arent going to let him go.

All these reports of him being a cap casualty are complete nonsense.

I hear it's pretty easy to stream football games online for free in the year of our lord 2024 via the world wide webs!

I was thinking more along the lines of regular season. Where 17 49ers games times 5.99 is $102. Which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Sunday Ticket. Honestly, the only primetime games I cannot watch on TV at the moment are games on ESPN. But I can watch every single primetime and playoff game on my phone with NFL+.

Nooo thank you! I'm good with $80 a year for Red Zone and whatever games local broadcasting gives me for free. Sunday Ticket costs were way overinflated from the start, and now I'm over needing 20 streaming services to watch every game.

I'm telling you: do NOT subscribe to Peacock just to watch a playoff game. Find other ways to follow the game, if you can. Because if Peacock does well from this game, we're in for a brutal future trying to access NFL games.

Can this game be purchased individually? Or do you have to sign up for the subscription of Peacock?

And I agree with you on this. This could be a terrible route the NFL goes. Want Thursday night games? Get Amazon Prime. Want NFC playoff games? Get YouTube TV. Want AFC? Get Hulu. This crap could get ugly and the days of just having an antenna could be over.

I wonder how bars handle this? I was planning on going out with some friends to catch the Saturday playoff games but are they even going to have Peacock for the Chiefs game?

That's exactly my concern. What happens if Apple and YouTube TV just lock up every Sunday afternoon game and you can't even watch your local team without paying $10 a week? And then to top it off your Wi-Fi decides to get murky that week? It's getting ridiculous. At some point viewership has to start to dwindle (especially with older audiences not wanting to bother memorizing and typing in usernames and passwords and fixing their internet) to the point where advertising isn't getting its bang for its buck.

My dad pays $300+ for cable. I don't pay for peacock. I do pay for the others. Add in the $50 for home internet and I pay around $100 a month.
