Imo, we don't have to put down one guy to prop up another. The record speaks for itself. When JG arrived, that was a dif era, and we had Trent Taylor, Q, Garcon, who was injured, among others. He did great right from the jump, then ran into his injuries and complications. It's a new chapter now, in 49er football. I don't even view BP as taking over from JG, it went JG, TL, BP, in my opinion. JG was just playing cuz TL went down.

Terrible analogy. There's a different level of compensation that you get, in perpetuity, long after your playing career is over when you win it all, especially as a QB.

It's an appropriate analogy regardless of this point. Let's see fans get upset first if it happens though instead of just assuming they will. We could be two rings deep and Brock could have two pro bowl appearances and perhaps more individual accolades going in to negotiations.

You should get paid what you're worth regardless of supplemental income. That said, not going to be mad at fans who want him to take a discount to help the team because we're all presumably fans of the team first.

This is what I am talking about, it's the persistent, he's MVP level, but he should give us a deal on the contract. Notice another example. C'mon Brock, think of the pay that winning confers, and take less.
