While I think CMC deserves it the most. Acting like Lamar winning it is a travesty is absurd. If he wins it it is well deserved. Best team, best record and he has the stats to back it up. He has played great this year.

Purdy has played better across the WHOLE season minus 1 game (which will loom very large unfortunately). CMC has an argument but they won't give it to a RB. Probably Lamar will get it.

Agree, Lamar will probably get it, but hope we win #6 🏆

We have a real good chance at #6. The best chance since 2019 or 2012.

Better than either of those two years because we have a much better QB.

Last year was the best chance of those 3... I dare say maybe even better than this year.

This year is better. Purdy is so much more advanced. We don't have any major injuries except for Hufanga and I think the vet guy we signed can cover well enough back there to not make it too bad on our playoff run. Logan Ryan that is.

I had these in mind, but I think you missed a big reason... we were heading into the playoffs without out a loss in 8 (?) games. The dismantling by the Ravens this year so late in the season really has me questioning if we can win it all. I liked our defensive coordination better last year too.

I'd rather falter and lose in the regular season than in the playoffs. Also a long streak is tough to keep going. So good thing we got that out of the way. We can beat the Ravens or Browns or Bengals if we run the ball, stay healthy and don't turn the ball over. Those have been the only downfall. Mostly stupid self imposed stuff in combination with injuries. But Purdy more advanced in year 2 is no small thing. Another big plus over last year. Not to be under estimated.

I thought u said we can't win the SB last week, what changed?
Good for Brock, making under a mil yet breaking records. The future is bright

Really good game specially after last week. I love how calm he is. Never too low, never too high.
And to be honest, the playcalling on this game was suspect and didn't help Purdy. I don't understand why Kyle wanted to run to the right so much.
Still Purdy was super efficient and his improvisations avoided sacks and led to a great TD for Aiyuk.
It's amazing how good he has been this season coming back from his elbow injury.

That is certainly a concern going if we should go into the Super Bowl, and the Ravens are standing in our path.

I'm very much of the opinion that our loss was very much Brock Purdy having his worst game, against an elite opponent… and the whole team ended up tilting. I will be SHOCKED if Purdy has another poor performance against them in a rematch.

I'm being hopeful, but I think it's reasonable to assume we won't turnover the ball 5 times and commit 10 penalties again. If we play a cleaner game, I anticipate a more competitive game where we can truly see the championship mettle of a team with Brock Purdy at the helm.

I think that Silverback was not 100% healthy.

I think Shanahan's answered the question about why he might choose to run to a certain side more… There's a ton of reasons, like how the defenses are playing and hashes and what-not… but I think people forget that our run scheme often allows for the ability to cutback. Run might go right, but then cuts back to the left. Not as easy as saying "run it to Trent William and Aaron Banks' side every time." ESPECIALLY when we feature so much misdirection.
Purdy has had multiple bad games this season and played his worst game very recently. We are still the #1 seed in a very competitive sport.

If the two best teams meet in the regular season, and one loses, expect the losing team to make enough changes because both are that good. Hopefully we win the rematch in the SB.

The 49ers two main challengers in the NFC would be the Lions and Dallas. For the Ravens, it's the Browns and Chiefs. I won't be too surprised in the Ravens don't make it past the div round, losing to the Browns.
Ravens have a very poor post season record in recent years.

Purdy only had 2 bad full games in the season: Cleveland and Batimore.

Against Minnesota and Cincinnati he was the best player of the offense in the first 3 quarters.

I get that and I also know that Trent is probably not 100% right now.
That being said, at times in this game, Kyle was in his overthinking mode.
I mean on the third drive in the first half, they're at midfield and Kyle called a run to the right on first down for only one yard. Fine, why not. But why going with another run to the right on second down? It gained three yards and only because Elijah Mitchell IIRC made a great play and Purdy had a third and 6. The possession ended with a punt and they should have scored a FG at least. It's plays like that when I'm thinking "Ok Kyle is f**king great and it's a chance to have him but sometimes it can be weird.".
And like I said, I love Kyle Shanahan and hopefully he's the coach for a very long time.

Harbaugh has won like one post season game in the last 10 years. Lol hopefully they get smashed by the browns - they have a really good defense and are a divisional opponent tk the ravens.

Agree, we had injuries going into that game. I think Hargrave and Arik were out, so was Ray Ray and Jauan Jennings. If we get 💯% healthy - i.e. get Arik, RayRay, and Jauan - as well as having a solid 💯% healthy Trent Williams, and the rest of the OLine squad💯% healthy, I think we have a great chance at beating them. I like the fact that the Raven's humbled Kyle to a point where - he'll be going into a super bowl matchup having lost three (in a sense - because of the Ravens beatdown this year) Superbowl's and going in very humble and cautious into a February championship game.

Turnovers are the key to beating the Ravens, and our defense is good enough - if given half a chance by the offense to get those if the 49er offense puts pressure on them. Lamar is pretty good, but in a track meet kind of game, I think we have the offensive edge on a game like that. Turnovers against Miami killed their chances in that 50+ point offensive blow out. It started with that Tua interception and it snowballed after that. If Kyle and Purdy can avoid costly turnovers and keep ahead of them pointwise and a one score lead going into the 4th qtr, I like our chances for a win in a game like that.

QB is much better and your point about injuries is key here. This is the healthiest this team has been the entire ShanaLynch era AND they get to rest up and heal even more now. We absolutely are the favorite in the NFC.
