I don't like the Int's either and have stated has such. But my fear is you start putting Brock in a box and this offense will suffer more. We need scoring not hesitate tendencies at this point of the season

i liked jimmy but he was ALWAYS hurt/hurting. 2019 was an outlier for him. we had to move on.

He definitely has flaws, I don't think anyone is denying that. And I haven't been in the Jimmy thread much, figured it's just a bunch of the hater crew saying "I told you so." I'm not saying that ALL of Jimmy's bad play is because of age/injury, but clearly something is wrong with him physically. I mean he's missing WR's by 10 yards. Say what you want about "Kyle's offense made him," he was never THAT limited while in SF. Physically, he's a mess.

Back to Purdy though, it's good to see that most in here aren't bailing on him after a handful of bad passes during crunch time. He'll clean it up and we'll be fine.

Jimmy was missing deep by 10 yards all the time here. Nothing new.

As far as Brock, it's because fans can see the upside he brings. He makes off schedule plays Jimmy couldn't, he doesn't have many years in the system either, and he's far better with anticipation and accuracy, and even without an elite arm, he's not afraid to target down the field. That's why you see less criticism of Brock.

I didn't want just anyone to replace Jimmy, I wanted someone who could offer all those things, now we have that.

Niners, Purdy's second season, Started 5-0, with Purdy TD to INT ratio of 9-0. Then go on a 3 gam losing streak. Purdy TD to INT ratio of 3:5.

Patriots, Tom Brady's second season, 2002. Started 3-0, with Brady TD to INT ratio of 9:2. Then they go on a 4 game losing streak. Brady TD to INT ratio in first 3 games of losing streak was 5:7. Brady finished the 2002 season with 28 TDs and 14 INTs.

Let's see where Purdy comes out. Personally, I'm optimistic.

Make or break time for Purdy. I'm very curious to see how he responds.

During the crazy 12, 13 or whatever game start he had, it was awesome to watch his plays but knew we needed to wait until crap went bad to see who he really is. Now that some are off the bandwagon and even some asking about benching, we'll see who he really is with what he responds with.
