But don't compare Purdy to Tom..just expect results like Tom or even better than Tom lol
The problem here...is you. The post you quoted was basically spot on.
YOU decided to insert Brady into the discussion, and then try and flip it to some notion that even someone of that level didn't deliver 100% of the time. No s**t. The fact of the matter is, Purdy was put into a position not once, but twice lead a team to TD (the last being probably the game winner) and both end in interceptions. The all time elite QB's can, and have overcome injuries, bad coaching, etc. on many, many occasions. That's because....they are all time elite players.
The fact is, you have FAR and away more trust in a guy like prime Brady, given what Purdy had on Monday night, to deliver the goods late in that game. People in general need to stop dropping names like 'Montana/Brady/Brees' into any conversation with regards to Brock Purdy. Every 49er fan hopes he can rise to that level, but he's nowhere close to that. Dropping 40 points on the Cowboys in a blowout, or taking out trash teams like the Giants and Cardinals didn't make Joe Montana, Joe Montana. He's off to a great start in his career. I like what I see overall in Purdy, and the arrow is still up. These last 2 weeks could be the best thing that ever happened to him professionally. Now he's got another prime time game to reverse narratives and give the Niners a solid record heading into the bye.

haha
