Exactly, I was just saying that is the reason he is not getting the ball thrown his way.

I don't know how many other options the team had but man them just rolling with mckivitz isn't lookin good. I've given him 6 games and he just gets abused by good pass rushers. It isn't even like a good matchup. Lol he just gets his ass beat.

Yeah I would like to see them pick up someone before the trade deadline for that side of the line, it's killing Kittle and he is a great option in this offense that is negated by helping the weak side of the O line. Now I say that but I do not know who the 49ers could pick up before the deadline.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever really seen good o line guys traded mid season. So I doubt it happens.

there may be some vets out there, I mean they can't be worse. Lol
Brock was awful for 58 minutes.
Per the NFL, the Browns have allowed only 1,002 yards through five games. That's the fewest since the 1971 Colts, who allowed 836 yards through five games. And it's the third fewest allowed in five games, behind the '71 Colts and the 1970 Vikings, who gave up 945.

That browns defense is for real.

Yeah good OLinemen are rarely traded since they protect the most expensive assets on the team. The QBs. Even a tanking team will keep good Olinemen.

Yep can't blame them.
Brock led a great drive down the field. Unfortunately shanny believed way too much in Moody (a rookie kicker) instead of trusting Brock (elite QB) to get as close as possible for a FG. Thought it was weird to just run Mason then immediately spike instead of going to get more yards (play action would have worked great on 2nd down) .

Brock was feeling it last drive and could have gotten a TD or at least go the ball to inside the 10 where even Moody would struggle to miss from. Hopefully in the future, he keeps the ball in Purdy's hands and goes for the TD instead of a FG. I have no faith in Moody hitting anything outside 35 yards for a game winner especially in the elements.

I would never consider a 41 yard FG a sure thing on a wet field with the wind in play, and before someone says ("well Gould did it in the snow in a playoff game") we are talking about a rookie kicker.

Agreed. Shanahan did Brock no favors today and Kittle forgot to show up.

Kitlle was there, but Shanny could NOT come up w/a play for him to energize the offense..

Not Kyle's best game since being hired as head coach ( one of his worse if we're being honest ) but Brock should still be hitting those open receivers. Just a bad day overall for the offense.

That stadium is notorious for it being a difficult place for kickers. The way the winds whip around in it - I've heard many kickers talk about how hard it is. Their kicker practices in it and has experience there. I don't really blame kyle for what he did, it's just unfortunate he missed it. Just sucks moody has been so inconsistent.

he missed two in this game, he's had bad kickoffs that have given the other team good field position, his PATs are uncomfortably close. Just always feel shaky with him.

Brock missed a lot of throws he usually makes. A lot. Aiyuk couldn't hold onto the ball for his life today either

Don't forget when Brock hit them, they were getting dropped

exactly man. Purdy was rolling that drive. A couple more screens or short passes to Aiyuk/Jennings could have gotten us 10 more yards turned it into 30 yarder. If he missed that then I'd cut him tomorrow and call Gould.

The entire offense decided to have a bad game at the same time lol. I'm confident they'll bounce back against the Vikings.

He was 3/7 on that drive. Based on how the offense had played all game, it was more likely we'd take a game losing sack or turn the ball over than get enough yards to justify the risk. A 41 yard FG is converted something like 90% of the time. Getting 5-10 more yards isn't going to increase those odds more than a handful of percentage points.
