as a fan, im not concerned. Lord Purdy will bless seattles field with his massive male man parts

Heard Brady is still experiencing shrinkage after the last game.

He does like his balls under-inflated.

Hahaha Father Time will give him what he desires soon enough

Oh I thoroughly enjoyed that 2019 NFCCG against the Packers. I was actually there, it was glorious. But you don't gameplan that, it naturally happens and reveals itself. IF we can do that to Seattle, great go for it. But to have 4 active RB's (which means we're light somewhere else) with the intention of forcing the run for an entire game would be foolish. Especially if Seattle does what Miami and TB did which is stack the box and blitz Purdy.

Yeah you just know your going to win that game when they couldn't stop the run. Didn't matter what Rodgers could do because he wouldn't have a lot of time to do it.

Lol it's all good. Life of a new parent

I've not seen much of a difference in the play calls for Jimmy and Purdy. Similar skill sets, similar calls. One major difference from what I can tell is Purdy has been absurd on 3rd down, going 18-20 with two TDs and no INTs, and 11 first downs out of 20 (0.55). Jimmy was good at that this year, but not 90% passing good, and at 0.48 of his passes being first downs, he was pretty good there too. But Brock has been better on that crucial down so far. Brock also has had a slightly higher passing 1D%.

So, Brock has been a bit more efficient than Jimmy, and he's completing passes about a yard more through the air than Jimmy.

Small sample size though. And Brock's entire dataset includes CMC so you'd expect his ability to get first downs to be higher.

Such third down production is unlikely to be sustainable. And with his injury, things could actually get pretty bad.

Exactly this. I wasn't criticizing Shanahan. I was just saying what I think Shanahan shouldn't be doing.

I have seen a light turn on in shanny with purdy that I haven't seen with Jimmy or Lance or any other qb.

The play-calling hasn't been different. The way the QB is executing those plays and how they've played when pressured imo has been different. Brock is moving/feeling pressure much better than Jimmy, which is creating positive outcomes.

I can't agree with this. Even shanahan's sideline demeanor has changed. I mentioned this in the preseason. Shanahan looks more excited when Purdy is in and was also much more aggressive in both playcalling as well as in game situations. Just look at that td drive before half against the bucs. If that was Jimmy or Lance, Shanahan calls it with shriveled nuts. It's a completely different Shanahan with Purdy in.

Shanahan almost always attacks all three levels with his play calls, and as he recently mentioned, he is NOT telling the QBs where to throw the ball every play.

Also, Lance was throwing deeper too, so no, he's not having "shriveled nuts" with Lance. He was just running with the QB a lot. But the PASSING plays still went downfield. Hence why Lance had the highest air yards of any QB in three years.

Already better than jimmy

Sooooooooo salty. Imagine tearing down a top 3 efficient QB that helped save our season. You're too salty All. Be happy we have 3 really good QB's all with different skill sets.

Did he save our season if the offense hasn't missed a beat with Purdy? The argument was that if Jimmy hadn't re-signed here we would have been stuck with Purdy at QB after Lance's injury, but that doesn't look as bad as we thought it would be.

That's not to say that Jimmy wasn't playing like a top 10 QB this year, because he was.

#5 in the league in efficiency to be exact. #2 in the NFC.

If we didn't have Jimmy, who knows how Purdy would've fared in Week 2 when Trey went down. He's had the chance to work quietly all season on learning the offense and adapting to NFL football, while Jimmy has been the starter.

Quite true. Who knows how much better he got during that time. And again, we still don't know how good (or bad) he'll be. Give it some time, IMHO.

Purdy is going to become a star tomorrow night in prime time.

I'm here for it

If Purdy wins the Super Bowl. I'm naming my next dog Brock. (Kids are for people who don't like traveling)

Lol I'm finding out about the whole kids and not traveling thing

LMAO. I can relate.

I remember NY mentioned he had kids just giving him a hard time. I did just buy a high end mattress and went to Belize a couple weeks back with my GF. I'm good with dogs.
Traveling with kids isn't bad at all .. our dog makes it harder on us as you can't just leave a dog by itself
It's Pursday Eve & all thru the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even Brady's ex-spouse

Oh my god, it WAS a no-look pass. Look at his helmet in relation to the throw and #56's reaction. The massive balls on this kid.

In college his style of play was Mahomes with a subpar arm. Make of that what you will.

What? If you don't think Kyle planned those run plays specifically for that game i think you should do some more reading about how coaches prepare their teams for a game, specifically playoff games. Kyle may not have known it would work as well as it did, but he saw tendencies in their team he felt our team could take advantage of and designed his game plan around them. Do you think he goes into each game winging it?
