I'm fine with him not being that accurate with the long balls if he can keep that up. That's the bread and butter range.

10-19 is hardly "short game."

When was 10-19 air yards ever considered to be short game? Those are typically described as chunk plays, especially the one over 12 yards.

To me short game would be anything around 6 yards or less.

Yup. I posted all those same numbers yesterday.

Yeah you can't just say "we are going to take away 0-19 yard passes". Thats a LOT HARDER said than done.

He was 7 of 8 in the playoffs last year in that range.

Purdy will never be "elite" without these highlights.

This.

In terms of examples of what are actually deep balls.

Typically, a pass is considered "deep" if it travels 20-plus yards downfield. That's important because it means we're not just talking about high-lofting downfield bombs. We're also talking about balls that target deeper dig, corner and even comeback routes.

If you're considering only "deep balls" the major ones downfield, then specify that. considering those the only type of deep balls will confuse people, because it's incorrect.
20 yard pass is considered "deep"...

only in Niner talk.
Here's a humorous potential plot twist:

Everyone hates Cohn, but all camp he complained about Brock Purdy not taking enough shots in camp. Maybe Brock missed those three throws only because he hasn't had enough practice at them this year and is still finding his groove.

That would be nice though because it means he's just still rusty. He was relearning how to throw in the summer so he's still kind of a couple weeks behind everyone else.
