IIRC that was under the assumption that Purdy missed the first few weeks of the regular season and Trey actually played.

I was one of those posters. The assumption was Purdy wouldn't be available for the beginning of the season. Then it'd be Lance vs Darnold, which to my eyes and from what I've read and seen was essentially a draw. But with Purdy substantially ahead of schedule, all that became irrelevant.

He should be commended for cleaning up the mistakes and playing better. I appreciate that he's internally very critical of himself and doesn't listen to the sycophants in the media and around here who rush make excuses for him.
