This. But this is why I love it. This ending is so much better than if the 49ers had spanked the Cowboys by four scores. They're delusional to think if they had one more play they could have won. Let it sting.

I was honestly impressed with how many Dallas fans I saw acknowledge that the last play was just a bad call and not blame the refs for the loss. Of course there is a portion that are striaght up blaming the officiating but they seem to be in the minority from what I've seen.

They practiced and called a play that involves the refs ability to quickly spot the ball in 14 sec. You never want to involved the ref to be the 12th man of the offense to run a play in that situation. So stoopid lol 🤣

To have that work, the ref has to run at least a 4.4 40 and leap over the offense line to spot the ball. Should've sent the play to the ref at the beginning of the week for him to practice that.

Had Dak slid about 5 yards earlier they would have had time for another play with the ball at the 30ish yard line. He got greedy and got all the yards he possibly could before sliding.

they probably practiced that play for a field goal attempt - not a TD.

that practiced play doesn't get you a FG either

I think they would have gotten at least 1 second left on the clock if Dak had left the ball on the spot, wave for the ref, and make space for him to spot when he got there. Instead he gave the ball to the center and they were all set in their 3pt stance. The ref fight through the gap.

Yup. That would explain why they've been Irrelevant since the 90s. A dumb owner, a bad playcall, followed by a dumb decision from Dak, and now they Insist on blaming the refs .

No way. Win by 4 scores and that means that SF was running at full steam and played a complete game......and Cowboy fans would still be pissed knowing their team got rolled into the dirt.

Pathetic team, and I don't see it changing. Wishing Jerry many more years of life!

I carry that 2017 game in my mind. All their stupid fans in our stadium talking so much crap about the 49ers. Calling us garbage. This win feels so good.

I guess I wasn't thinking that far ahead and put my disgust for the Cowboys ahead of my love for the Niners. Losing in a painful way and thinking "we could have had it", all offseason, hurts more imo. My hope is they run it back again in 2022 with the same players and coaches. If they had gotten blown out they might make changes that improve the team.
They ran the ball with no timeouts and ran out of time spiked the ball with 0 seconds. They're out there standing around asking for another second to be put on refs are like the game is over
Still enjoying this.

Dem Boys actually played much harder than was evident in previous game recaps, but turns out one week of better habits couldn't wash away a season/generation of being Cowboys.

Dak should have known that he only had to to run about 10 yards to safely get enough remaining time for a spike. He got greedy for the extra few yards and it cost them the game. Him blaming the refs is why he'll never win anything. Loser mentality.

The funny thing is, if they had left room for the ref to run up to the ball, they probably get a spike down. Not sure why the C thought he could spot and snap his own ball. Especially when he cheated forward a yard.
