Only way we sign Julio is if ATL picks up 75% of his salary...ok, maybe not quite that much but what is it...$23Mil?

Depending on the cost, acquiring Julio might be possible if no team is offering Atlanta a 1st for an older WR. Atlanta also has little at RB, so I could see them listening if we offered Mostert and a 2nd. I also wouldn't be concerned with his salary because he'd most likely be extended to lower his cap hit, and moving on from Jimmy is going to free up a chunk of cap space soon.

Barring an injury, Marqise Lee will be on our 53 (F**K cheat carroll) #BookIt

I concur. I should've concurred. This is our new slot guy if he hasn't slowed down too much

the guy was a victim of poor QB play at Jacksonville..

He was a very good WR at USC, even better than the Juju was ..

Very true, and he had 2 years where he had 750 yards per season on that offense This may be another really really great signing for little to no money

i'm trying not to get my hopes up or anything, but it would be great if he works out since WR depth is one of our weaknesses right now

Problem is he has had 2 knee injuries that have derailed his career. I loved him at USC but I dont know if he is still that same player. If he returns to that form he easily will make the 53.

Yeah, he's had some setbacks since coming into the league. He's had an ACL that really set him back. Don't know how much he has left.

They would have to trade Jimmy. I am sure AB will tell me if I am wrong.

Julio would be a massive mistake.

Don't think we can afford Julio but adding him would put this team over the top.

He's a more polished as well as accomplished wr than Hurd/James jr/Watkins/Jennings and he's a good returner. He had a 100 yard kickoff return td. We do need all of these skills for cheap and our return game has been embarrassing

Only chance Julio is an option is if he rips up his contract or SF moves Jimmy before the season starts.

neither are likely

Plus, he went to Serra. Gotta root for the local kid. I wanted us to draft him when he came out. I had just gotten remarried and I introduced my wife to my predraft ritual -- 2 purchased draft guides plus all the online stuff. But, I still want Jennings to pan out too. I guess it all depends on what James / Hurd do

agreed i was a huge fan of him coming out

but i dont think qb play was the issue he produced with bad qb play it was injuries that slowed him down ... i actually thought he was out of the league

Last day of mini camp today they didn't practice. They don't have enough D linemen but the best news of all no injuries.

This podcast is less than two hours I've listened to Niner podcasts on YouTube longer than this LOL.
