Thanks for this post. I wish there was more full game footage available of the Tittle era 49ers.
On another note, we really do have a great tradition of running backs. Perry, McLehenny, Willard, Johnson, Craig, Hearst, Watters, Gore, etc.

John Henry Johnson was an amazing runner. Think Jerome Bettis with moves.
Perry, Johnson, and McElhenny might be 1, 2, 3 among all-time 49er backs. Even in their prime, due to the heavy East-coast media bias, they did not get the props they deserved. Had they played for the NY Giants, they would all been first-ballot HOF. Younger fans missed three great ones. I only saw them on film, but it was clear each one was special.
