SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs BUFFALO BILLS - 2020 Game 12

This team just isn't a playoff caliber team, too many injuries.

Defenses is built to rush the passer, that's their bread and butter. We lost both edge rushers then our backup edge (Blair). Kin can't replace DeFo his rookie yr, just can't.

Throw in no slot DB I mean when you see DJ on the field you know we're in a bad place.

Offensively, Mullens is a backup and nothing more. No QB & everything else gets stuck in the mud. OL isn't consistent either.

Is what it is, I'm not mad about 2020 football lol

Oh well, at least our draft position improved.

It didn't. They'd still be @14, win or lose.

Thanks for the kick in the nuts while we are down.

ATM it didn't matter but losses from now on will compound quickly

Totally this, why people have these crazy expectations is beyond me.

Sounds weird but this season has been calming for me because I'm not a basket case while watching lol. If you go in accepting the reality of the situation it's pretty easy to enjoy Sunday.

This is where I'm at. "Hope the best, and expect the worst". I know we had high expectations coming in, but most teams who lose this amount of GOOD players in one season are staring at a top five pick.

Yeah...coming into this thread last night and listening to people getting so pissed over it is a bit silly. Half the posters in this thread only come in on game day and complain...The football intelligence drops a whole hell of a lot IMO lol.

New plan... don't come into gameday threads, it's full of horrible takes and in the moment anger (which I will say I do as well).

We have like $80M sitting on IR, we have Shaun Hill 2.0 starting, and they just freaking got kicked out of their homes basically lol. Shocking we didn't win

So yup I agree I haven't been to upset this yr, no point.
I said this earlier and will say it again, There is not a single team in this league that could lose the players the Niners have lost and be doing any better. And most would be doing alot worse.

You forgot to add that Sherman sucked. He is getting too slow to play man on man. Might be good if he moves on at the end of the season or plays at safety instead. Moving him on would give us cap space.

Jackson is not better. Brady isn't any more nor is brees. Watson debatable.

They don't play a ton of man coverage (mainly on 3rd downs). He's a free agent, there's no cap to save he's not on the books.
It was absolutely disgraceful how Kyle used Deebo last night. Essentially he was used as a gadget player. Come on...

Tre White
Pretty crazy that you guys can watch our 3 QBs all horribly stink at times and still have thought we really had a chance this year.

I don't know that you put this version of Brady, or even Brees, as top 5 QB's. Mentally, sure, and that's huge. But physically of course not.

Like I said, I don't know that he's top five but he may be headed that way. The leaps he has made have been incredible and while he improved this year, Jackson regressed some. Now, there are various side reasons perhaps for the regression of Jackson including needing better players around him. But he's basically running Kap offense 2.0 and did it better than Kap last year. Allen has played probably a bit more like a true/traditional QB this year while still posing that rush threat.
