Exactly this. This should be a case stating year for JJ

I think the team handled this correctly by not giving in.

Yep, no way they should have folded for him.

It was purple at practice today.😃
After 36 missed days he is going to be slower than ever

Good, would look weird playing in Seattle with blue hair. Purple makes sense, I can see the Ravens being interested with his blocking skills and being a possession WR

Niners receiving corp can be sneaky good by week 6. Just gotta make it there with a decent record. I like Pearsall, Jennings, Aiyuk, with a little Kittle and CMC mixed in. Then you add in Brocks intelligence and we should be moving the ball. No excuses this season. Except the OLine may suck which would affect everything
I'm glad he went this route - hope the dude balls out this season and gets himself a fat pay day in free agency. It's pretty clear it most likely won't be with us - otherwise the team would have extended him already, IMO.

dudes an incredible #3, solid #2 WR.

I know this is the JJ thread but I am skeptical of this.

after returning- how many games will it take BA to be in game shape and dialed in on the offense?

he might be plug and play but he sure wasn't after his holdout.

I agree. We'd be lucky if he gets back to form by the playoffs.
Still a bit confused we haven't really heard anything… so did we re-do his contract (even a little bit?) or did he just straight up decide he's not holding out anymore and will keep his current deal?

He didn't get a new contract

So he has to choose whether he (1) plays his CURRENT contract (including incentives) or (2) holds out

At this point he has lost his power play...holding out does nothing but cost him millions of dollars now (failing to reach incentives) and hurting his future value b/c his numbers won't look good going into free agency

Kendrick Bourne was the 49ers saying go ahead and call our bluff...we will IR you and play him instead

JJ showing up at practice was him agreeing to play as is
