Thats like me paying another $50 each month on my mortgage.

$2M is $2M….thats a lot of cash no matter who it is.

Also it's not just about APY it's about the gtd cash but no one knows what the numbers are there.

I haven't heard B.A's people say anything about gtd cash. $2 million is nothing to these billionaires.

He would've finished with one of the most important TDs in 49er history if there was an OL

Not even a TD. At the 2-minute warning just a 10-15 yard catch

In overtime on our last play before the FG he was wide open in the endzone brother

Why would they bring up gtd money if they know their ask is dumb. They want to win online. So they will keep it about the APY publicly and the gtd money privately.

True. But knowing our luck the Chiefs probably just drive down and score 8 anyway 😅

or this is just a made up narrative with no real substance behind it.

Well the players aren't taking money from the billionaire owners. They're taking money from a hard cap fund of cash that goes to the players. The more he takes - he takes more from teammates or potential teammates.

but $2M isn't much, which leads me to believe that's it far more than just a worthless number as "APY".
Thats how I see it

Yep. That's exactly why Trent Williams is holding out.

BUT they go hand and hand. 10 of the top 11 WRs in APY is also top 11 in GTD cash.

I just don't understand why people keep trying to steer that conversation to GTD money.

It's all about gtd cash. SF could give him a $150M deal and only gtd $20M. Cool he can say his APY is $37.5M. In reality after that $20M is up, he can be done whenever the team wishing without any repercussions.

agent's aren't stupid

Because if it's not gtd it doesn't matter.

They can give him $50m in year 5 of this deal if it's non gtd to bump up his APY. But they'd cut his ass before pay day and he'd never see a dime of it. Players want gtd money.

APY is a fan number.
