Cryptic. No trade is in place might just mean the trade isn't finalized but it is basically done.

nah, a rando posted it online - it's gotta be true.

there have been a ton of reports out of steelers media all off season about how much the steelers really want aiyuk though. doesn't mean theyre true but im curious if theyre hearing that from folks inside the steelers building. i just dont know what they'd give up that we would want for aiyuk besides defensive players and picks.

Good. At this point the only wrs I would want in trade is Adam or McLaurin anyway. Not even Cooper
You got to get at least first round value. That is the minimum. Meaning any pick that was not a #1 would have to come with a player attached and it would need to be a really good one. If not you force him to either sign our final offer or play out this season and risk losing a lot of money. A training camp holdout isn't the end of the world. In the past it happened all the time. We have way more leverage then everyone seems to think. Aiyuk is the one that has all the potential consequences of not having a new contract and having a bad year, or the option of money lost in holding out.
If there 49ers are working out WRs on Monday then I assume we are trading BA without getting a WR back.

FWIW the intern coordinator probably isn't privy to trade discussions.

Yeah that doesn't mean anything
Trading Aiyuk would be a mistake. Let him sit, then tag him. I think he's just holding out for as much as he can. He's probably got people in his ear talking about how he should have been given more opponents the Super Bowl and is still salty.

He deserves his contract, but the Niners have been fair. He's a good character guy and a hard worker, hopefully they can bridge the gap. If I'm Management, I'm not letting him leave.
