I don't think he's a bust. He was just grossly overrated by a lot of Niners fans after last year.

He's short with mediocre speed. Not the combination you see with elite WR's.

"I want Aiyuk to keep getting better. I don't think he's quite back to what he was last year. I think he's closer to that point right now than what he was a couple of weeks ago."

Shanahan said Aiyuk doesn't look the same from a size standpoint (heavier) than he did last year.

I think the praise to Aiyuk for knowing the touchback rules from the coach might be where his problems might lie. Soft development. They are professionals. They should know the dang rules. Smacks of participation medals.

With Kittle in we win this game Dwelley couldn't hold up but that was a td for sure

All we needed was either Dwelley to hold his block longer without a penalty, or Jimmy to maneuver up and away from the pass rusher even slightly, and there was an opportunity for a big play. Jimmy is terrible at moving in the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield.
