Maybe our QBs need to better at their craft. Burrow has no problem working with 1.8 yds separation lmao

Again chase thrived off having no separation in college, that's his game. One of BA's issues in college was contested catches….right now he's forced to play like that because he's not getting open like he did last yr.

Let's stop blaming everyone else because our WR isn't playing good enough right now lol. Come on dude.

Aiyuk has shown the ability to catch those contested balls.

So you want our QBs to throw to a WR that's not getting open consistently because he's shown he can catch a contested ball every once in a while? in college he was actually pretty bad at contested catches for the most part. He also rarely played vs man.

BA isn't Nuk, he's not gonna make his living by playing bully ball. He's gotta get better, I have no idea why you wouldn't want him to be a better route runner?

he's the X he's gotta beat those 1 on 1s that helps everyone on the offense if he can… Jonny talks about this, go look at Adams in GB… you can't line up in man all game with him he will smoke you (we saw this) he's basically helping dictate coverages and demanding help, thus helping all the other receivers.

When did I say he shouldn't get better as a route runner?lol of course he needs to continue to get better. He's barely in year 2 in one of the hardest positions to transition in the NFL. Also, Adams was not the same player in year 1 and 2 as he is now. He had problems with drops and route running just the same. I don't get why you guys keep bringing him up lol
but what I don't remember is Packers FO coming out and s**tting on him through the media. Maybe I'm wrong.

But apparently you guys believe Lynch is helping Aiyuk run better routes with continued criticism through the media. See how that works.

what's wrong with saying he's gotta get better? Like you said he's in his 2nd yr? Man why is everyone so damn soft?

People keep asking and they trying saying well he was banged up blah blah blah…at some pt you can't keep making s**t up to protect your WR who's not playing well…he's a grown as man. Go do you job you get paid a lot of money to do.

I brought up Adams because that's who I think he could be if he puts the work in… Him or DJ Moore (that was my comp for him coming out of college)….end of the day it's up to him, not the coaching staff or QB with how good he's gonna be. We've seen good WRs blow up in Kyle's scheme. He's just got to do his part and he's clearly not there yet.

Everyone in the league "has to get better". That BS coach speak doesnt fly with me. Jimmy needs to get better too does that mean he should only attempt 2 passes a game??

I also take issue with this separation argument. Aiyuk showed just last week he can make contested catches. Freakin Sanu has more targets this year than Aiyuk. I am not buying this non sense yal selling....the kid can play and needs more opportunities. But hey lets just keep the offense the way it is with Sanu and Juice getting more touches than Aiyuk and watch how far we go lol.

FOR someone who went to Stanford JL pretty dull.... well, actually he's TRYIN to be smart IMO... by stating that YUCK has not gone to distance is trying to keep that BLAME ARROW away from his self and his buddy KS.

Dang, I don't remember him being a CHEAP SHOT ARTIST when he was playing SS for Tampa Bay... why NOW ??

When Jerry Rice was having trouble on holding or catching them footballs, Bill Walsh reached out to JR's coach and asked how he can improve the guy... Times sure have changed.. now both GM and HC are trying to save their BRICK BY BRICK by playing the BLAMING GAME..

Bricks not holding up!!!
I hate when Kyle and Lynch talk. When they speak dumb s**t comes out.

Brick by Brick feelin the HEAT ??
Sounds like were chastising aiyuk because hes not davontae adams? Thats weird. For a second year player. I think hes being set up for some reason. 1st game he was sat down, presumably still gimpy. Last 5 quarters had trey lance throwing to him, a 50% passer.. I think the sample size is pretty small this season honestly. Maybe switch him and deebo a little to fool the defense and perk up his spirits.

Even working though stuff in his second year, as most WR do, even Adams. He's shown his playmaking abilities vs the Packers and again vs the Cardinals, when the offense needed him most. He injected life into the offense when it was stagnant. It's a shame we can't find ways to get him the ball more. Remember that screen against the Eagles in which he bounced off three defenders and then hurdled another to get into the end zone? Apparently some already forgot about it lol
Kyle taking a hard line with these young players doesn't make the players look bad, It makes Kyle look bad because these are his draft picks and draft picks he traded up to get. You would think these players he drafted high and traded up for he would be going out of his way to give them every opportunity to succeed because if they look good, Kyle looks good. Aiyuk who he traded up in the 1st RD to get is taking a backseat to players like Sanu and Benjamin.Banks who he took in the 2nd RD this year has yet to be active on gameday. Sermon who he traded up for didn't even get his chance until injuries and then he is still barely getting snaps. Then there is Thomas a late 3rd RD pick who can't even get starts over journeymen Corners. And now Lenoir who was playing decent, has barely gotten snaps the last two games, All because he blew one coverage.

THE worst part is JL had a personal inside scoop on YUCK when he was at Arizona State.. Don't forget that Herm and John are COMPADRES and one is the godfather to one's son... so I'm sure JL was intelligent enough to ask about YUCK and his actual attitude....

.. and I'm sure that HERM told John if YUCK was worth trading up for..

John, you need to stop playing fans dumb.. WE NOT !! WE NOT !!!

35 targets, 456 yds rec, 5 Tds.

Crazy. The extra .1 yd of separation must be the difference.

True Aiyuk needs more targets. Covered or uncovered he makes plays.

Why is everyone panicking - Brandon will be fine, he just needs to play.
What if in Kyles Fantasy Football League that Matt LeFleur picked Brandon Aiyuk?

See how Aiyuk gets no separation? He doesn't seem to run his route with urgency, gives away the curl route early, doesn't seem to threaten the corner vertically so he never pushes him deep. This corner is playing in no way scared of being beat deep - he's letting the corner drive him to the sideline - if I was a DB coach, I'd LOVE how my guy defends this route.

In Aiyuk's defense he drew a defensive PI here, but there are other examples of him not getting the separation needed to garner a target such as the catch where Lance fit it into a tight window (not the one hand catch), Aiyuk had no separation.

.

But it's Kyle trying to find a scapegoat

Even still thats almost 2 yards. In the NFL thats alot of space. This isnt college. All this digging in the weeds trying to find data sounds good but where are the quick screens and reverses and slants to this guy? Saw a slant vs AZ he was open, Lance was late and HIGH with the pass. Very very often NFL wrs have to make contested catches. Dont give me this separation crap as if WRs are running scott free all day long. Yes, they need to get some separation but it doesnt need to be 5 yards worth ..good gracious

Yeah, but that's average. If we see zone on 50% of the plays there's more, "separation" but not necessarily open. Like, if he's running a post, he might have a safety 4 yards over the top and a LB sitting 4 yards underneath, both in a position to drive on a ball. He has separation but not open and it skews the separation stat up. That tells me vs man, he's getting very, very little separation as the zone looks won't change much. That means he's getting less separation to the extent to pull his entire aggregate down 3 feet. So, very well could be 5 or 6 feet less separation vs man. That's a HUGE dropoff.

We'd have to see some way to quantify separation avg vs man and zone.
