On KNBR just now Brent Jones thinks Shany was teaching Aiyuk and Sermon a lesson. He said showing up late to meetings, thinking and acting like a veteran when your not ….

He also said having that kind of talent not playing (I know Aiyuk played a free snaps and had no looks) means they screwed something up that irked Kyle.

I'm still going with that they missed curfew on Saturday.

but up to Saturday walkthrough both Sermon and Aiyuk were expected to play. They suddenly don't become irrelevant overnight. I think the other readings from Brent Jones and other NFL players who know Shanny are accurate.

We've heard the line from several sources, they both need to "learn how to be professionals".

They asked Maiocco that question today on the radio and he danced around the answer.

You can't tell me that Aiyuk in year 2 doesn't know the playbook yet? Or Sermon who had more snaps in preseason doesn't get it either and is replaced by a 6th rounder, smaller back when we already have Hasty another small back ?

Exactly. And GMs and front office people want to see their top picks play immediately so they can say I told you, just like that can't dump Jalen Hurd. There something under that smoke.

I thought I read that Mitchell actually bulked back up and weighs more than Sermon.
