The ball is not in the 49ers court. It all starts with him applying for reinstatement with the NFL. If Sept. 1 arrives and he is not reinstated would the 49ers be off the hook for the $26 million cap hit? What are the circumstances to which it's better to NOT release him? AB81 needs to step in here.

From what I understand, if he stays away forever, the niners could spread out the bonus we already paid him across more years instead of 1 big hit.

Just give him the money and shove it up his rear end.
Give who, BA already got paid.

it's now about how the money paid gets spread out moving forward (if he doesn't get reinstated)

Also, if he doesn't get reinstated, 9ers can attempt to get18m of it back

I know he's already been paid but it's worth $18 mil just to get rid of him. This is the type of thing that causes locker room issues. No team needs distractions like this heading into a season.

lol all he can do is do his random social media post... you really think if 49ers said ok give him his money and release him hes suddenly going to stop his social media rants?? He'll probably double down and start posting about how right he was lolol...

We have Aiyuk crying about the 49ers and Kyle wanting to leave, while on the other hand we have Deebo posting on IG and our players on the team supporting him and saying hes got a 2nd home here lolol

I wonder if Jed urged Kyle to reach out with an olive branch because the org is concerned about him as a human and that is how this dude responded??? Aiuyk doesn't need to be playing NFL football anytime soon. He has issues he needs to work on. Irrational with zero accountability. We'll see how serious he is about playing when week 1 of the preseason rolls around without Aiyuk filing for reinstatement.

I doubt Jed did anything. Kyle may have reached out as a wellness call. But BA is too big of a B to answer
Edit- let's just hope for the best.

How David Lombardi can think this is Brandon's most rational post since this saga began is beyond me. This post is further evidence that this young man needs serious professional mental attention, ASAP, before he does something that hurts the people depending on him more than it already has.

He didn't say he was rational. He said its his most rational post. It actually is. Its coherent and you can easily follow it, even if you totally disagree with his perspective on what went down.

Agree 100% Some of his post seems to be true and actually makes sense but the last part is just his perspective. If he denied the NFLPA's request to appeal, like he just admitted lol, then you know dang well they are going to put out a statement saying we tried but BA denied it. They have an image to uphold as well.

There are millions of people who make bad financial decisions everyday. BA's just one of the more famous ones and he's using his social media platform to try and get his side of the story out but every post he makes he makes it worse. In 10 years the NFLPA will be using this as an example of what not to do. Just like they use former players to tell their stories of how they squandered away their earnings on stupid stuff.

We need a new Forum section called Purgatory so we can move this out of the Niners talk thread. I'm tired of this dumbass.
I remember at the beginning of this I really wondered what Kyle/Lynch did to piss him off so bad but throughout this there never was a behind the scenes mystery, he's just a spoiled brat all his issues he's completely caused himself

lesson here is kyle and lynch these are stand up dudes who carry the gold standard of 49er football; if you can't get on well with those guys you are probably a certified clown
I'm surprised Ayiuk came out and dissed McCaffrey for fumbling away our last super bowl. Kittle had also mentioned in the past as that being the most pivotal play in the game.

Yes that was a huge play, but I think there were 2 other plays that were more pivotal. The fumbled punt return in the 3rd quarter and, in my opinion, the most pivotal play was Kyle not deferring in overtime and taking the ball second after we had won a crucial coin toss.

I mean Aiyuk stopping and then not locating the ball in the air when we had to settle for our 1st FG cost us too

He does make a good point about Shanny not using him effectively in the Super Bowl. Making it all about Deebo was a bad move

True. But Brock played very average in that game. Brock had many opportunities to put the game away but just did not play well.

Players on the team are just in denial why we lost that Super Bowl... they don't have it in them to bring up Kyle's decisions that game, and previous loses before it. So they put that attention to somewhere else.

Christian McCaffrey has been our best/most impactful player on the team since he got here. He has saved Kyle's ass by taking Jimmy G's dump offs and gaining just enough yards to move the sticks in that 2022 season, to have more opportunities more on offense.

Besides that one fumble, we had many other chances in that Super Bowl. Our defense held the effin Chiefs to like 3 pts in the first half. 13pts in the first 3 qtrs.
