The ball is not in the 49ers court. It all starts with him applying for reinstatement with the NFL. If Sept. 1 arrives and he is not reinstated would the 49ers be off the hook for the $26 million cap hit? What are the circumstances to which it's better to NOT release him? AB81 needs to step in here.

From what I understand, if he stays away forever, the niners could spread out the bonus we already paid him across more years instead of 1 big hit.

Just give him the money and shove it up his rear end.
Give who, BA already got paid.

it's now about how the money paid gets spread out moving forward (if he doesn't get reinstated)

Also, if he doesn't get reinstated, 9ers can attempt to get18m of it back

I know he's already been paid but it's worth $18 mil just to get rid of him. This is the type of thing that causes locker room issues. No team needs distractions like this heading into a season.

How is he a locker room distraction if he's never on the premises? His social media nonsense effects the team just as much if he's released as it does when he's on the left squad list.
All the sour drama could've been left out, but this crying d!ckhead wasn't capable of handling things in a professional matter

Instead, chose to let the r****d out of him thinking that would've helped dictate his way out... blah blah sha na na da da da

Now the Niners get to show them how their dic tates BA says "Kyle Shanahan wants him back" right, sure thing buddy

This too, all of this, shall pass. And we will all be better for it.

Yup. He's not a distraction at all.

Not only is he not on site to cause a distraction to the team but I dont think the players agree with Aiyuk. This isn't a contact situation where the team doesn't want to pay a guy his worth and the team is missing a core guy in the interim.

this is like having a guy at work who was really good, and just went off the rails and abandoned everyone. lol and now is on the internet throwing a tantrum.

Once football stuff starts, no one is going to care. Mike Evans is going to make us forget BA REAL quick. BA is about to realize that the league moves on very fast, no matter how talented a guy is or what they've done. Also, BA seems to think he's the best in the league, which I don't agree with, but that'll quickly pass him by.
I wouldn't normally root for a guy to run out of money due to bad investments, poor finance management, careless spending, etc. but I hope this moron does. Part of the reason he's acting like this is that he thinks he's set for life after getting his signing bonus+ from the Niners.

Cant be a locker room distraction if youre not in the locker room and even guys like Kittle, who likes everyone, seem done with him. He's just shouting into the social media void at this point.

That's true but reporters will probably be asking questions to them. I guess that's not a distraction so much as a waste of time

Only one guy would probably keep asking like a DH

How David Lombardi can think this is Brandon's most rational post since this saga began is beyond me. This post is further evidence that this young man needs serious professional mental attention, ASAP, before he does something that hurts the people depending on him more than it already has.

He didn't say he was rational. He said its his most rational post. It actually is. Its coherent and you can easily follow it, even if you totally disagree with his perspective on what went down.

First interview.
If you ask about BA, or BA adjacent i leave, and then will not answer ANY of your questions all season.
