"Rumor"
but I'm sure some insider has tried talking to BA's agent
I asked about his agent a few pages back. I was curious so i googled him. His agent hasn't publically commented on anything since 2024's contract negotiation. That should tell you everything. He either dropped BA or BA dropped him.
My guess is the agent's salary was tied to the contract and once that contract was voided the agent said bye. I would think if he was still his agent he'd be fighting tooth and nail to get that money back BA threw away or at least put something out blaming the 49ers for the ordeal. But we haven't heard anything.
The further this plays out the worst BA looks.

no one in their right mind would allow that type of cash to slip through their fingers, especially with all the negation BS they had prior…JUST so you could play ball with your buddy.
this has nothing to do with if he has any interest to play for SF….It setting a precedent that you can't just basically steal money from a team and force your way out after the fact.
No one forced him to sign the deal. You can now come into camp play ball for SF (show teams you're healthy and ready to play) and help with making a trade work OR you can do nothing, go AWOL, and not get paid or play football….you could call that controlling his destiny, but it's not the option he mostly wants (SF releasing for nothing).
Yes the offset is unlikely to be close, especially in 2026*. He'll probably lose close to $20 million.
Still, all his behavior indicates it wasn't in his personal interest to successfully win a grievance, as that would make it almost a surety he'd remain a 49er for at least another full year.

I think he's ghosted his agent as well. No one does all this s**t, just so he can play football with his buddy.
I mean his image is tainted beyound belief. No one is gonna tie his name to anything for endorsements. Teams aren't GTDing him jack squat. he's already lost $30M and more if he doesn't show up. No way that's all worth playing football with Daniels.
kid is mentally not well or he's just done with football. Never seen anything like it

To what end?
There doesn't seem to be any benefit for Aiyuk to be in a public pissing match with the 49ers. It would likely further harm any interest he might have from another team.

If it were a minor technicality on why he missed millions gtd, then heck yeah let it be known.
Put the pressure on your employer to move you.. Other teams will take a chance on that.. rather than what's going on now

Apparently other teams are interested, and the 49ers are willing to move him clearly. Nobody was going to take on his deal with or without the future guarantees after his injury. We already saw this play out last offseason when he was shopped.
Putting out a public statement blaming the 49ers doesn't motivate the 49ers to work in your behalf and only serves to try and steer opinion on him among primarily 49ers fans. It means nothing.
Any argument in his defense would be made in private.

I met a NFL scout in Scottsdale last night that said he knew him personally, said it's over with the Niners

I doubt it, the NIL is a glorious opportunity for the non first round picks.
Perhaps I should have said, the system will adjust and we will not see the proportionate number of players staying in college that we have this year.

That's obvious.

What's interesting about BAs agent situation is the fine print in his agent/client contract. There may be clauses where if the player does something outlandish and/or egregious (but in legal terms) and the guarantees are voided etc - the player will owe the agent what he was owed or would of earned had the player not doing something stupid. Idk what their contracts say but it wouldn't surprise me if there are clauses like that. His agent must be pissed, understandably. Imagine having to try and explain to teams what's going on and why, and he probably doesn't even know.

The only public stuff aiyuk should be doing is posting videos of him training and inshape. Signaling to other teams he's ready to contribute. Aiyuks talented but I'm not trading for anything unless I know it's ready to contribute. He's been out of ball for essentially 2 years after a really bad injury. Ultimately, we will probably hold him until approx sep 1 and cut him.

Yes, without some indication from him that he is in shape and wants to play, nobody will show any serious interest in him. The fact that has not happen indicates he either no longer wants to play, or, perhaps he no longer can play and he knows it.
So many questions but all leave sadness for such a great talent being wasted.

I would have thought the agent would be paid in full once Aiyuk signed.

I dug into the rules – Niners can keep him on the reserve/left squad list indefinitely without paying him a dime.
From what I read, on top of that, he also wouldn't count towards the cap, nor roster spot allocations.
Brandon cannot force a trade or release without reporting, and even if he does try to report, there's no guarantee he would be reinstated without an agreement already in place to trade him.
"For Left Squad, reinstatement is more flexible and team-driven. The player would need to report, pass a physical, and meet any team/League requirements"

Right, but the contract tolls, or pauses. The 49ers are eventually going to take a significant dead cap charge and they would have to decide whether it's in their interest to push that down the road. That's putting aside the eventual grievance Aiyuk would likely have if they kept him on the list in spite of good faith efforts on his part (if he were to make any). They have latitude in his reinstatement process but they also can't use the list indefinitely as a punitive measure.
