Dean Jones is so upset with the 49ers and the so-called "pettiness" that John Lynch has displayed when it comes to Brandon Aiyuk. CLOWN

This is the kind of stuff that makes it hard to be a sports fan these days. Players are making obscene amounts of money. One season and they have more than any of us will ever see in our life. Yet some still find reasons to complain, hold out or ask for trades. Really sad.

Agreed! I love watching professional sports, and appreciate each athlete's incredible talents. I also understand the risks and danger involved; but relative to what other professionals earn, as well as their own talent, risk and dangers, professional athletes are WAY overpaid. I don't feel one bit sorry for any of them when they complain about the millions more they deserve.
I still would try and trade him away for a really far future pick to some scrub team.

Real talk, we speak of them as if they represent our city…but they're not even from our city. A lot of these guys never live in our city period, they stay for the season then go back home to where they're from. I like to remind myself of this whenever I let my ego take a hit from a loss.

It's only getting worse now that the NIL is a thing in college football.

Do you want to suffer as they do to get the money? This is game is violent and the average career is around 2 years. If you're willing to take the hits, pop the pain pills, use the fringe steroids that are banned by the IOC but allowed by the nfl go ahead. Aiyuk never wanted to come back, I'm pretty sure his agent pressured him to sign the deal.

Lynch/the FO is playing this the way they should: They are waiting to see what happens after the draft. If a team doesn't find what they need in the draft, they may invest a future pick in BA in hope he does want to, and can, play. At this point, the 49ers have done the best they could in the situation in looking after the money the invested (poorly) in BA. Now if they can get a pick, any pick, as opposed to a release, it will be worth the wait. It only takes one team that is not willing to take the chance that some else may jump in ahead of them if he is released for them to invest a pick.

BWAH HAH HAH! Dean Jones is such a loser. Sucking on that agent's . . .

Here's a question. Since BA did blow a rather large wad by blowing off the vast majority of things he was supposed to do to earn this fabulous contract, does the player-agent who negotiated the deal take a hit too? Or does the agent make the percentage he was due to make just the same? Anyone know?

The agent, Ryan Williams would have gotten his commission when Aiyuk was paid. The voiding of the contract meant that Ryan Williams missed his payday as well. No commission was paid to him on a voided contract is my understanding. Someone else who is more in the know can confirm that. Typically an agent gets paid when the player gets paid.
is B.A working out or anything?
