I'm confused by who 'they' is referring to in the first post.
In the 2nd post, you mention Kyle forcing Paraag to give Aiyuk what he wanted… I'm wondering what you think the alternative would have been had he not done that. Trade seems pretty likely.

Yes. The other commenter is talking about how Aiyuk signed a deal that was on the table the entire time from the 49ers. That wasn't the case. The other commenter is talking about how Aiyuk agreed to the contract because he didn't want to be traded. That wasn't the case.

I got some answers to these questions after I read your post about Paraag in the Brock thread.
The poster didn't say Aiyuk's deal was there the entire time… he said it was there for three weeks. Whether that's correct or not I think it's safe to say Aiyuk wanted to be here and not be traded, pending they paid him his market value, and at least one part of the 49ers front office (the owner's right hand man) did want to trade him rather than pay him his market value (as you said in the Brock thread).
I don't think there's actually a disagreement here outside of how long Aiyuk's contract may have been on the table and other things that shouldn't need to be said (like Aiyuk would rather have stayed pending they paid him what he was worth).
It's tough to say the 49ers didn't want to trade him when arguably the biggest front office player did in fact want to trade him (rather than pay him appropriately).
