I was reading some comments over on the daily Norseman, Vikings sports blog nation site. Some fans are cautiously confident with alot more myopically talking about who they wanna play in the championship game. Most prefer seahags just so Rodgers can't win another ring. Others want GBP cuz hate them so much. ".

They're 2 and 4 in their division. They lost twice to the Packers and twice to the Bears. The Packers are not the same team we've seen over the years. I don't see them beating the Seahawks.

theyre 1-0 in the playoffs atm.

They beat the Aints. Soon to be 1 - 1 and sent packing back to MN.

Now that we having our actual starting defense back things should be a lot better. We have been playing handicapped for the 2nd half of the season.

Yeah, we are lock and loaded - hopefully, we get back to how we played the first half of the season.

Others want GBP cuz hate them so much. As a point of humor they refer to Lambeau field as Lamblow or Lablow. They probably should consider the fact they need to beat the 49ers first, though. They also call Jimmy G "Crapola".

lol im trying to figure out where their confidence comes from? Its weird. We were pretty consistently a top 3 team all year, we got rested and healthy, they're on the road cross country on a short week, etc. Vikings fans can be hopeful, and confident in a close, hard fought game, but to be so confident they're talking about title game opponents?

They are finally healthy so in their eyes they feel they have the better skill players to beat anyone and a win against the Saints was huge for their confidence. Totally get it, but it wont be enough against this Niners team. Too many disadvantages

Short week
Travel across the country
Historically bad outdoors, especially against winning teams
Niners rested off bye
Niners get Tartt, Ford, Kwon back
Road game, home game for Niners
Diggs ill, Thielen ankle banged up
Vikes secondary banged up

If Jimmy throws picks or fumbles and the OL crap the bed, or if they let Cook get loose for a td, it will make this game closer than it should be, but the if this is truly a Niners loss, it is because they beat themselves or didn't show up like the Falcons game.

I'm glad we don't have to go to Lamblow next week.

Agreed. Whoever wins on Saturday will have enough time to discuss their next opponent. The Vikings will take some beating. We can do it, but let's not pretend that the game is already won.

Wow just so many doubters in the media. Things I'm hearing:

Game might be too big for Jimmy since it's his first playoff game...
Fear the Vikings because their beating the Saints in the dome is way more impressive than facing the Niners in Santa Clara....
49ers don't have any big play makers other than their TE and they just shut down Brees, Kamara and Thomas ...
49ers are an okay squad....
Playoffs - everything is different, are the 49ers ready?

Just so much FUD (Fear, uncertainty and doubt) against the #1 seed in the NFC. Just wow - as if we some how tricked and scammed our way into that record.

And that's just the local bay area sportswriters.

So true. We as fans get more stressed out over these games than a lot of other less important things like family or careers. Real niner fans I tell you.
