It will definitely be much harder for the defense and no way we keep up the pace of the defense that we had earlier in the season. It's a passing league and we didn't play a lot of good QB's. However, if they can keep getting pressure, turnovers, and the offense can continue to grow then we will still have a shot every game. We gotta find a way to win 2-3 out of these next 6 games.
I agree with that. Our passing offense is going to have to perform like they did against Arizona consistently going forward for us to win. Less than 25 points probably doesn't get it done against any of our remaining opponents.
While we may not have faced great QB's, it's not like we haven't faced scoring offenses. TB, Rams, and Car, are 4, 8, and 10 in scoring (all while having to play the nest defense in the NFC). We held them to about 14 points on avg less than their norm. No reason they cant continue winning games like they have all season. Run the ball, control the clock, and play great defense.
I know we want to keep Wilson off the field, but we can do that with a short passing game too. If Seattle is stopping the run somehow, Shanahan will flip the script like in AZ and have Jimmy sling it.
No doubt. Cant be one dimensional and I think theyve shown that already. Again, we have the #1 offense in the NFC with reinforcements coming back. They gotta lose at some point but it's been pretty wild. I cant remember the last time I've seen a team have the #1 offense and defense in the conferance half way through a season.
We will lose eventually this season, but it won't be this week to this team. I know that our team is hearing how they're getting disrespected again and they're gonna be fired up even more than they already were.
You're right though, cant be 1-dimensional, balance is gonna be key in this game. We have to get 6 when we get into the redzone (which we've been much better at the last few games) and not settle for field goals. 3's won't cut it versus Seattle. I think Jimmy is gonna have another big game for some reason, I don't know why, but I just feel it in my gut. We win this in a dogfight with a game winning drive from JG.
