Dline didn't get the amount of pressures and sacks we wanted, but they did a great job on this guy.

I imagine the defense looking better in playoffs as well...

Collins was probably thinking to himself, this Philip dude is thicker than me, he won't go down

Assuming we get a healthy Bosa and MW back. Next year as of today is: Bosa, Collins, MW, and ....nobody??? as I think everyone else is a FA lol

I would like to keep Ferrell and Huff if possible then draft another pass rusher and run stuffer. You can never have enough pass rushers so we need to keep this unit infused with youth and talent.

We can technically keep Huff but he has a $17M price tag with zero guarantees.

Could be an extension candidate. Two years and lower his cap number for 2027. Add in a replacement for YGM in the draft and we should be set at DE.

They hold Whites rights next year as well
Bosa/White
Collins
West
MW/Hufff

2 DE who can also rush effectively from the interior, but need to shore up DT

Forgot White. So with Williams and White, maybe we should go for the 3rd down specialist. Especially if we sign Ferrell to maybe a 2 year deal, we will be set at DE that can defend the run and play inside. Williams, White, and Ferell work for me. Bosa, Huff, and maybe one other guy. I know we have Robert Beal and Sam O, but either could be safely tucked on the practice squad.

If we do decide to extend Huff then I'd pivot from DE to getting a rangy FS or an interior pass rusher (think peak Javon Hargrave).
I think our Dline will do better against Seattle since their Oline isn't that great. The bears online is one of the better ones if not one of the best imo and Darnold isn't as mobile as Caleb. I expect a better game from the Dline this week.

Maybe in the run game but pass rush wise we don't have guys who can beat any NFL caliber o lineman. And Saleh hasn't shown any blitzes that can generate pressure
Texans waived Solomon Byrd from the 53 yesterday. He is an edge but I believe he was not active during the season. I don't know anything about him as far as playing style but should fit our system.

They're doing good a job at stopping the run and the IDL needs to keep stepping up / play even better than before. We need Darnold to move around and be uncomfortable... he'll make some bad decisions and hopefully see a lot of ghosts tonight

The story nobody is talking about is the Seahawks might start an ubdrafted free agent at LT.

Their O line was close to average anyways, now it will be a bit worse unless that OT was some hidden gem (doubt it)
This might be the worst DL I've ever witnessed

And we just spent 3 draft picks on the d line
Yikes

When it came down to the trenches, this unit did a better job than the overrated O line
