Assuming we get a healthy Bosa and MW back. Next year as of today is: Bosa, Collins, MW, and ....nobody??? as I think everyone else is a FA lol
I would like to keep Ferrell and Huff if possible then draft another pass rusher and run stuffer. You can never have enough pass rushers so we need to keep this unit infused with youth and talent.
We can technically keep Huff but he has a $17M price tag with zero guarantees.
Could be an extension candidate. Two years and lower his cap number for 2027. Add in a replacement for YGM in the draft and we should be set at DE.
They hold Whites rights next year as well
Bosa/White
Collins
West
MW/Hufff
2 DE who can also rush effectively from the interior, but need to shore up DT
Forgot White. So with Williams and White, maybe we should go for the 3rd down specialist. Especially if we sign Ferrell to maybe a 2 year deal, we will be set at DE that can defend the run and play inside. Williams, White, and Ferell work for me. Bosa, Huff, and maybe one other guy. I know we have Robert Beal and Sam O, but either could be safely tucked on the practice squad.
If we do decide to extend Huff then I'd pivot from DE to getting a rangy FS or an interior pass rusher (think peak Javon Hargrave).
