My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. I went through this very thing in January when my dad passed away, also at age 70. I thought he had more time left on this Earth, and I wasn't ready for him to go. Remember all the good times you had with him, and cherish those memories; it helps to ease the pain, even if only a little.
Thank you my friend. It's a tough time right now, I will indeed cherish the moments/memories I had with him.

Faced a similar tragedy 2 months ago. All I can say is reach out to your support systems and keep putting one foot in front of the other. In the feeling of devastation keep reminding yourself that the last thing a loved one would want is to have their death negatively impact your future. Time heals all but until then journal-ing helps keep us out of our heads too.
Take care of yourself,

I'm sorry for your loss, I lost my brother at the end of last year. We were very close and I miss him everyday. I'm sure you are going through a lot but we(the webzone) are here for you. What helped me was staying busy and not letting myself become depressed. Talking about it with people you care about and trying to enjoy their memory. Don't keep looking at the past and say if only...

Jason...I haven't posted too many times, but I've read a lot. You are a class act.
Nothing hurts like the loss of those closest to us. My advice...Mourn his passing, but carry his legacy and continue to live your life in a way that would make him beam with pride.
Sincerest regards,
Mank

So sorry. There's never anything to say that truly does justice to alleviate, but I hope you can take comfort in knowing that while you'll always miss him, the good times you had shine longer and far brighter than the pain ever will. It takes some time, but hang in there man.
