Here's the last two paragraphs.

First says he will be here 1st day of camp then finishes off with this:

"Bosa has yet to sign his rookie contract, which could delay him getting onto the field by the time camp starts. That said, the 49ers have gone through similar situations with first-round NFL Draft picks before. In 2017, defensive end Solomon Thomas wasn't signed by the time training camp began. The following year, offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey's deal was done just before camp started.

If Bosa and the 49ers' standoff goes into August, that might be a problem."

It was about him being healthy enough to participate in training camp.

How would you like it if the company who hired you does not want to sign the offer sheet you presented to them and tell you RELAX, WILL SIGN YOUR CONTRACT NEXT MONTH...

MODS: this is just an honest question, by no means I'm trying to be sarcastic or attacking my long time buddy NY85, so try not to increase the 25% warning level.

Peace of mind? Dude it's July 1st there is no football to be played right now. How about if SF gives him the deal his agent is looking for and they can ALL move on (including the fans)?

It's all verbiage, dats it...his agency isn't asking for more money (can't) rather how it's going to be given out and no off sets. Go look at CAA's resume when doing rookie contracts. This isn't some shocking thing, it's how they do business. IT IS NOT JUST BOSA.

Fans need to understand how these contracts are put together and should WANT the players to be able to get their money because they play a game that could very easily end tomorrow.

I'll ask you for your peace of mind, would you want to make sure you were going to get paid what you're due if given an offer sheet? Would you look it over and make sure it's all acceptable KNOWING it might be the only offer sheet you get from a job you've been working for your WHOLE life??

So ya, relax my man (we're just talking I know you're not attacking)...our FO has worked with this agency and signed 1st rd picks for the past 3 yrs. ALL of them didn't sign until late July, when camp was just about to start. Deebo hasn't even signed (also with CAA) and he's a damn 2nd rd pick.

Also his agency held him out because LA was being cheap....I would hope that every single person in here who's worked their ass off to get their dream job would try to make sure that they would get the most guaranteed cash as possible... IF in the same scenario.

IF you so no, well I don't believe you lol.

No one "needs" to be here right now...camp isn't for another month.

He doesn't "need" to sign his contract until July 26th

signing the contract now would give everyone here the PEACE OF MIND..

Hold up...you were being serious with your earlier posts about why he isn't signed now?

I legit you were being sarcastic....yikes.

How would you like it if the USA legally prevented you from working for any other employer in your profession?

YOU either go back to the country that you're originally from and pray for success.. or you can pull the old EBoE trick if you really you don't want to work for that company...

EBoE = Elway - Bo - Eli

WTF is that supposed to mean?

it's exactly the same meaning as what you were trying to say on your USA post.

So you're saying that NFL players should sign with the teams that own their legal pro football rights or go to what country?

the point is, a contract should already be SET for Nick to just sign since we decided very early that he was going to be the man.. and the JOEY scenario should also have already been in everyone's mind..

DID we not KNOW what it was going to take to sign Nick? why play the waiting game, or why even wait til July if we can sign him asap?

What makes you so certain that we knew exactly what his agency would ask? CAA is notorious, or famous depending on your view point, for pushing the envelope.

Dude follow along here...

Joey Bosa's holdout was with the Chargers.

Nick Bosa is not trying to sign a deal with the Chargers, he's signing a deal with the 49ers.

The 49ers under this regime have had 2 1st round draft picks. Both of them happened to be signed by the same agency that represents Nick Bosa.

Agents are the ones who get these deals done.

So the same agency, dealing with the same team/front office had those first round picks signed a week prior to camp(McGlinchey) and morning of first training camp practice(Thomas)

Now here's a crazy thought...let's wait until at least a week prior to training camp to start worrying about this chit. Especially when Deebo Samuel is still unsigned as well and is repped by the same agency and dealing with the same team.

Was Deebo's brother also a holdout?

It's not just the "Joey scenario" though....that's my point. CAA does this will most of their 1st rd picks (and clearly with other picks, Deebo says hi).

Currently there are 6 1st rd picks unsigned, CAA represents 4 of them. You'd think SF would have known when Paraag wasn't able to sign Josh Garnett (represented by CAA) until July 29th, that they'd have Thomas' deal all set the following yr? Nope, Thomas didn't sign until the first day of training camp on July 27th. You'd think they'd have a contract all set after that for McGlinchey (who's represented by CAA)? Nope, Mike didn't sign until July 23rd.

SF KNOWS about CAA and what they want for their clients, it takes time and finding common ground IMO.

WHO CARES about the other unsigned non-49ers draftees...

again, the point here is WHY WAIT?? what is the purpose??

especially for DIVA, he's only a 2nd rounder, what's taking so long?
