Na....no parachutes. Fly in like Superman!

but one of the sure fire ways to have a playoff changing defense is to have an elite pass rusher.

If 10% to 13% pressure rate guys grew on trees everyone would have one. Bosa is nearly a 16% guy......

If we don't resign Bosa we have to replace him with a 10-12% guy with a quickness or what are we doing.....this window can close with a quickness.

Agree 100 percent. He's the most valuable player on this team.

think about

Keeping Bosa is a no brainer even if it means you loose BA, or Kittle, or Huff.

It is easier to reload WR that should be a 100% given.

Kittle really is not replaceable, but you can't get a full season from Kittle. He is a part time player and likely will get worse in years to come.

Huff is great, but he should have a cap ceiling he is not a do anything on any down type player.

Guys like Trent, or Deebo have a lot of milage on them...not sure you let go of a 25 year old Bosa because you might want to drop money on older, high millage guys.

CMC is kind of irreplaceable....CMCs don't grow on trees....but again maybe you save money on a FB, on a WR down the road.

I think you put the money where it is safe....in a DE and adjust your plan down the road. Keeping everyone on the roster that has shown a pulse is not realistic...so you know you have to replace guys....who is the hardest to replace? LT and DE...well....and CMC only because that is a generational hybrid guy.
I read somewhere that releasing Zane and Parker clear 2 million? Can we get this done?

The issue isn't the 2023 cap since the Bosa extension is actually going to lower his cap hit for 2023. They need to get the Bosa contract done if they want to sign a FA rental or trade for a rental mid season.

Could them clearing the 2 million mean they don't expect Bosa to sign before the deadline tomorrow where they need to be under the cap? I thought I read something about that.

Slice and dice! Whatever is needed to pay Bosa what he wants.

Exactly. Which makes all the people complaining about 2-4M being the difference between losing Aiyuk, Kittle, etc. look pretty silly.

Next year the cap hits from Ford, Ward and whatever happens with Kinlaw will give a boost of about 10m. I'm forgetting someone else also………oh yea Trey. Make it 13m plus or minus. The cap will go up also, the Niners will have plenty to resign players next year.
