Deebo's agent is probably telling him to wait and see what these other WR's are getting so they can argue Deebo does more. 49ers are probably sitting there and saying "well he only did that for 1 year". Eventually someone will cave and it doesnt have to be the 49ers right now. If he comes in next year and repeats the performance then the price goes up even more.

You are confusing agreements reached for certain, specific players with a tactic in negotiations. The ends and the means are not necessarily the same thing,...so we're just in 2 completely different places.

Dude yo said WRs are a dime a dozen and we're talking about Deebo...so clearly you think he's a dime a dozen WR, which is funny considering all we hear about is who "could" be the next Deebo. He's a special talent and a deal will get done.

no point in paying him now. Especially when he hasn't even played with Lance yet. We need to see him put up great numbers with Lance before anyone is comfortable paying him like a top receiver.

He'd probably sit out without an extension...

$30 per year for one good season? He's not worth that much.

Deebo da Diva. I would've never guessed. Smh.

pay the man....dude out here playing RB/WR/PR.

It's the whole damn point of having a starting QB on a rookie contract. Yet here we are with upset young stars and Jimmy (and his $27M) are hanging around like a stale fart.

Every player should get paid. But that childish Murray tactic pisses me off. And we should've seen this coming from deebo from what he's been posting on social media every time a WR has signed a massive deal this off-season.
rather keep Bosa than Deebo

Same.
ok,, here we go... the tearing down of deebo for no reason begins. if you people think. you can just plug in some guy like the dude we signed today to what deebo does.. well i just do not know
no one has tore down anyone here, stop making up BS all the time

Yeah, I like Deebo. But don't like how hes acting. Hope he gets paid.

no one is making up s**t.... have you read this thread. people starting to down play or tear him down. oh he removed pictures. oh. he has only had five good months... ok. i know people like all the time think the front office walks on water. but no one is making up bs if you read some of the comments from people here
you might be too sensitive for facts. We need to pay two top guys. Asking way too much will force us to make a choice

Don't bring up other posters as I don't care what anybody else has said, you're quoting me. Deebo year 1 was good for a rookie. Year 2 he showed up to training camp out of shape and had an average year(as did the rest of the team). Now this past season he had a GREAT season. If he gets paid, I will be happy. If he gets traded for a sweet haul of picks, I will also be happy. Relax a little bit brother. Not everything is clearcut black and white

The question is if that's Deebo's demand what do we do?

You'd have no choice but to trade or tag him If he's refusing to accept what he's offered. QB and edge rusher are the only players I would do what he takes to keep them here.

I mean what team is gonna pay him that much AND trade a for him? No one that's who.

You can say Deebo, this is the deal we got for you....there isn't a team in the NFL that's gonna pay you legit $30M per (make you the highest paid WR in football) AND trade for you.

So let's work on a fair deal or you can play out your contract see how you do and we can go down the tag route too.

Remember players basically can't hold out now with the new CBA rules....really the only thing they can do is take down their pics on Instagram lol

I never said Deebo was a dime a dozen player. I said WRs are. Kyle doesn't "need" a deebo type WR for his offense to work. And there's a reason why Deebo is a 1 of 1. His role last year was created out of necessity and it doesn't breed confidence towards his longevity on a massive contract that he may be asking for. Im fine with whatever the FO does in this situation.

If you watched deebo's tape in college, you saw all the stuff he did last yr at South Carolina. He always had that ability as a runner. Yes deebo isn't a dime a dozen player, which is who we're discussing. Kyle loves him some Deebo and he expands the possibilities in play calling. You can't simply replace him.

Issue is not every team who might trade for him has a Kyle Shanahan to call those types of plays. Not every team is gonna trade high end draft capital and pay Deebo what he wants IMO.

They will meet in the middle and it's April not July so whatever

Not advocating for a trade, but I am willing to listen to offers.

Yeah there is a price for everything. If Jets offered both their #4 and #10 pick, That would be hard to turn down. We could trade back with both picks and still end up with two 1st RD picks and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd RD picks to go with it. Just for fun I did a mock draft with us having the #4 and #10 pick and these are the players I ended up with after doing a bunch of trade backs.
