We're gonna lose. A lot. But people have been saying they wanna just see us get better. So maybe we should track how the team has gotten better (or worse) as the games go on.
Only 2 penalties for 10 yards. One cost us the game though . But we had 9 for 65 last week I think so 2 for 10 on the road is pretty good.
Only 3 TOs instead of 5. That's better. Maybe one day we'll be plus in the TO margin. LOL.
Tackling looked better.

The team looked great last night, we are a handful of players away, here in no particular order are my thoughts:
A big back for late game carries
Edge rusher
Edge rusher
Big body wide receiver for the end zone, Ps looking old
Edge rusher
Hard hitting safety who can stay healthy
Edge rusher
Depth at all positions, because we can't stay healthy.

Here's one suggestion, start Tarvarius Moore and see what he has to offer. If you're going to let Witherspoon, Ward and Mabin play which shows none of them can play, why not see what we have in the 3rd round pick. Let Moore get experience, nothing to lose at this point.

A big bodied true number 1 WR. A good veteran corner to put with Sherman. Better pass rushers DL.

Improvements:
BeatHard has started 8 NFL games now and averaged 22 PPG. But 26 PPG in 2018. For context, Garoppolo has 27 PPG per his 8 starts. Offense is light years better in run blocking.
Regression:
Last year the defense gave up 23.9 PPG but only 20.5 the final 8 games. In 2018, the defense is giving up 29.8.
Tackles and fundamentals and QB sacks. hits and pressures.
Same:
Pass protection is the same (sacks, hits, pressures). TO's (forced), drop rate, penalties.

Hmmm, you forgot the edge rusher. Gotcha!
By the way, OT to replace Staley within the next year or so.

penalties though last night were more quality of circumstantial than quantity like the last few weeks. significantly reduced, however when we did have one of them it was at the worst time possible

Or we can completely shatter his confidence and ruin him.
Moore isn't ready yet.

That was definitely our cleanest game...hence why we had a legit chance to win.

Pass rush looking good. Seven sacks!
