Do we REALLY have Redzone Woes?

I'd say yes simply because even during the 5-game win streak last year, we didn't punch the in with regularity. So until we string together some games where we have more 7s than3s in the redzone, I'd say it's an area of concern.

The good news is that this offense is so much better to look at. They can move the ball consistently and will likely finish in the top-10 in terms of yardage by the time the season is done. Now if only their point production could match the yardage. It's 23 ppg right now and could be a lot more, which isn't a bad spot to be in. Some folks are jumping off the ledge like with have Jim Hostler or Jimmy Raye back there calling plays.

this reminds me of last year. is our offensive line as bad as we thought. answer to that and this is yes. plenty of blame to go around,. and big thing.. unlike last year. we caught no one by shock. as i said. last years win streak meant nothing once this year began and we see with issues we are struggling in last year so far . that is true

we have smaller linemen. In a zone scheme, it will be harder to punch things into the end zone when your OL is smaller and can't just bully their way in. Our RBs are also not power backs.

So we have two options. Either get much more creative with the playcalling, and scheme things open. Like with the Kendrick Bourne TD that we just had on Sunday. But that will only work so many times before they figure you out.

Or.....we get some taller receivers where you can just lob it up to the back of the end zone and let the guys fight for it.

So far, we have no tall guys besides Celek and Kittle. So these are the guys we're looking at when we're down there. And it sucks. But that is what we are working with.

Weve had red zone issues since 2012. Its not a new problem, and has spanned multiple coaching staffs for whatever reason. We need a tall, leaping threat, even if hes more of a decoy. We have nobody that can overpower you in the endzone.

I would say yes. Many of Jimmy's red zone touchdown passes have come on broken plays. If it wasn't for his ability to scramble and make off balance, off schedule throws, it'd be even worse.

ATL has redzone issues and they have Julio. One reason is the bolded. The o line just gets pushed around. I'm kinda surprised that we havne't see any screens or shovel passes in the red zone
