Niners have NEVER finished with a 9-7 record in their 70+ year history (or since the NFL regular season went to 16 games in 1978)...so either 8-8 or 10-6

Despite 70 years of history, I'm gonna say first ever 9-7 finish for the 9ers this year.

I'm glad all the hype is over about a possible super bowl run. A more realistic goal is 9-7 and with a few breaks 10-6 and a wild card. Even the national prognosticators who were responsible for all that super bowl hype have cooled their heels about a possible super bowl run. Having said that, anything less than 8-8 would be a huge disappointment.

Dj and fellow mods, i wish to make a slight change in W/L based on the rather abrupt addition of Khalil Mack to Chi 2 days ago. I currently have only 3 losses on the board and wish to add Chi to that . Neither CHI nor the 9ers have played one snap yet and with the addition of Khalil to CHI's D, I request permission to change my prediction to :

L @ GB
L @ SEA
L @ RAMS

And add:

L at home against CHI.

With addition of Mack, i don't see us beating both CHI D + Mack

Revised prediction is : 12 - 4

Thank you in advance for allowing this one change in prediction, due to addition of Mack to CHI roster. The ATL/Philly game had no influence on PYMWYMI
