IMO the WR that makes most sense right now is Moncreif. He is a magnet for the RZ when he has had a decent QB, and he is only 24, and would be a more middle of the road signing with potential huge upside. He IMO also complements what we have at WR already quite nicely. I

he had a huge fan club on this board when he was drafted. I'd be okay with it I guess.

Id rather see us go spend money on a legit CB

Moncrief would be my first choice. I would be ok with also getting Jordan Matthews for the right price. If he is healthy he has an ability to get open and move the chains. Also has good size.

I dont think we need to break the bank for a guy like Dez. No idea where his head it at.

Yea that guy is a nut case
I would be ok with Montcrief and or drafting some receivers. Defenses will adjust to Jimmy, sooner or later we will need weapons for him. I rather sooner than later.

Goodwin has his concussion concerns and Garcon with his age.
I thought this was a thread about Crabtree.

We all agree it is great to have JG as our quarterback. Let's hope he is everything we hope he will be. For me, frankly, I am a bit concerned we may be a bit over the top with him. He has not proven to have the ability of Rodgers or Brady who can make just about any receiver good enough to go deep in the playoffs. However, even those two future HOF QBs have struggled when some of their main targets were not available. Consequently it would be wise to take steps to improve the WR corp we have now. Let's not pass on someone like Landry, for example, just because he would be expensive. If the guy is someone that would really set the offense on fire, then bring him in. Let's not assume Jimmy can turn Goodwin into a Pro Bowl receiver just by his presence. We still lack that RZ presence and the guy who can win in the air.
Shoot, give me TO 2.0 any day of the week. Diva or not that guy was a beast
Dez would be fun in this offense. Incentive laden deal

I'm ready to have the big bodied receiver , redzone Target type receiver

Dez Bryant would be fun. His production has dropped a lot because of a rookie/young QB and running game focused offense but with Jimmy G Spot, he'd be perfect for the RZ and a great target in this offense. Kyle would scheme him open like mad.

And Dez would still cry about everything and make a fool of himself on the sidelines while disrupting the team's chemistry with his awful attitude. Also, he consistently drops big-situation passes. An automatic transmission has more clutch in it than Dez Bryant.

No thanks.

How is he over rated? He outperformed the vast majority of receivers drafted ahead of him. Nobody is saying he is going to be a #1 WR in the NFL but he did outstanding as a guy to keep the chains moving on 3rd downs. Jimmy G already has good rapport with him as well.

Anybody know what the chances are that the Colts resign Moncrief?

Its looking like he will hit the market.

Like i said, i think he is the best fit, on the best contract, with the most upside. Kid is only 24.

Anyone else will cost too much, be redundant, or not be someone who could contribute.

Agreed! I was hoping we would draft this guy back in the day. In hindsight, his talents might have been wasted here the last few years; but now would be the perfect time to get him!!
