He will likely play but im not against sitting him.

You realize that every game Garoppolo has played in this year has been meaningless to the Niners 2017 season, right?

Finding out we have a franchise QB is meaningless?

We know what we have, time to get ready for next year.
this is always my thought when I hear people talking about sitting him lol those game reps are invaluable experience in this offense. He needs to take as many snaps as possible.

Yeah because next game is going to make him a better QB...

Only bad can come from starting him.

We loose and crush our momentum. He gets hurt, etc.

So what if he wins, it means absolutely nothing. As a fan I want to see Jimmy. But as a coach im not sure there is a reason to play him.
I dont want Gould to play either in a meaningless game. We should just bubble wrap everyone that's good until next year.

As a coach you are not thank god. We are building and setting an example for next year. KS and Lynch said screw draft position, it's about culture

Its not hard to spell, it was a typo. I guess you have never done that. Im on my cell. Auto correct could have done it too.

Thats some petty ass s**t though, and lame.

There is absolutely no benefit to starting Jimmy G this week.
Going up against the NFC West placeholders, we'll rightfully take our spot back next season when daddy Shanahan makes baby McVay his b***h for the next several years. The 49ers tradition of completely and utterly owning the Rams since 1981 will continue

No benefit? If there was no benefit he wouldn't be starting. We had to kick the tires on our new QB to see what we had. Now we know and that was invaluable if you want to go that route.

There is no benefit to have Jimmy play anymore this season.

Where did you read that? John Lynch has no say on personnel decisions fyi.

Im saying there is no reason for Jimmy to play anymore this year. I have seen everything I need to see and im sure our coaching staff feels the same way. He has nothing else to prove...

I think he will benefit from seeing the Rams defense at a minimum plus the experience with game installation and running the offense.
Actually, I think it's been great that we have balled out and it will only benefit us greatly going into this upcoming off-season as the FA market that is upcoming now knows what SF can do with a franchise qb. Best thing ever was to be competitive in these games. NFL is on notice and SF is now a destination again.
