2017 Game 16: SF 49ERS @ LA RAMS GAMEDAY THREAD

Friend of mine who's a rams fan just text me that Rams are sitting 14 starters. Idk how much truth there is to that but screw it lol

14!!! shoot I'd love to see them just sit 3, Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley and Jared Goff.

I could see the rams playing their guys maybe a quarter and then benching them. They don't want to play this game and get rolled like the jags did, heading into the playoffs. Fighting on the sideline. Maybe your starting QB has a horrible game. That's no way to head into the playoffs.
That being said I hope the 9ers drop 65 on those losers. If they think they are the new face of the NFC west they are sadly mistaken. Next year is gonna be a friggin battle!

Some of the players he named were Goff, Gurley, Watkins, Woods, 3 starters on the oline, Donald, Trumaine Johnson, Brockers, Barron,Joyner, Quinn

Am I the only one who would rather see how we match up vs a full Rams squad?

The top worry is injury for sure. Not sure about the rest of this theory. It is too bad this game does not have implications, so we could get a real measure.

Also, you have to consider the other possibility, right? The 49ers play all their starters against the Ram backups and maybe it is a close game, or they lose. That could have the reverse affect next year. The Rams are damn good ... better than the Niners right now. Particularly in all the key positions (sans QB). Seems like the 9er faithful is getting a little cocky here.
