Must apologize for lateness. Work situation making it very difficult to rewatch and post. Might not be the last time I'm late. Bear with me... Then again some of ya would rather I stopped altogether. ;-) No worries. 1) Beathard: OK, I gotta give it up to the kid. I watched him live get the snot beat out of him play after play and he never once flinched. He took hit after hit and kept getting up. If NOTHING else, that kid is fearless. What is amazing though is watching what he was able to do yesterday without getting his a$$ kicked. It isn't lost on my that the Giants suck. It isn't lost on me that a lot ion what we saw yesterday was directly related to who they were playing (more on this later), but you could see that CJ had command of the offense and when he was given the opportunity made the trows he was supposed to make. He didn't do anything inhuman or anything spectacular, but he made the plays that were there for him to make...and that is SOMETHING particularly in a guy you view as your potential #2 QB moving forward. 2) Garoppolo: Having said that, Garoppolo still has to play. I don't know if it needs to be week 12 but he needs to play soon. First off, as I said above...it was the Giants. Lets chill a bit. Second, they need to start finding out if Jimmy is the guy. CJ isn't going anywhere. He's on the hook for 4 years. Jimmy will be a free agent after this season so the time to find out if he's the guy is NOW. It was realistic and responsible to give him some time to pick up the offense and to let Joe Staley get healthy, but both of those things have happened. They can't give Jimmy all the money a Franchise Tag would entail without having played a down yet. 3) Adrian Colbert: I had zero expectations for him but that guy just seems to make impact plays every single time he's given an opportunity. If he can stay healthy and keeps playing as he has, Jimmie Ward might be in trouble. 4) Rueben Foster: Guy is making a lot of tackles and I like seeing him make it through two games, but I do have a bit of a concern. The guy flashes quite a bit but there are times he just seems to get caught up in the wash. He often gets pushed right past the play. I have to remind myself he hasn't even played 3 complete games yet so some of that might be him being a rookie, but it happens a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and he's an exciting prospect, but he isn't all the way there yet. I might also be spoiled after watching Pat and Bow. 5) Celek: Ya know what? That guy isn't flashy, he doesn't shock you, but he's always solid. Been that way for several years. 6) Hyde: Time to extend him. Hopefully not a huge contract as he is a RB and he's never run for 1000 yards, but that guy has shown some serious heart the past two weeks. Watching him walk off the field against Arizona and seeing Lynch give him an atta boy was awesome. He seems to be getting better in Kyles system as well. He's showing more patience as a runner and he's finding those cutback lanes. I don't know that he can ever be depended on to be an every down back, but IMO he's a piece you keep moving forward. 7) Offensive Scheme: I love Kyle Shanahan. Again, the Giants suck. Not going to make more of it than it is...but when you see the likes of Celek and Murphy running WIDE OPEN, thats scheme. Yes, Giants secondary blows, but give some credit to Kyle scheme as well. VS Arizona we just couldn't see it. A guy at work says that most times a QB gets 3 Mississippis. Against Arizona, CJ just got Mississippi. Just imagine having some guys out there that are real NFL starting players. 8) Goodwin: Man....nice to see him in the end zone, but that is secondary to his personal loss. I can't imagine even playing after that. He's got my support for even suiting up. 9) Staley: This just in, the offensive line is better when Joe Staley plays. I know. Its a shocker. I'm so glad they didn't trade him and I hope he's got several more good years left in him. Was awesome to see how happy he was after the win. 10) Winning: I gotta say, I wanted them to lose. If you aren't making the playoffs you might as well godhead and suck. The worse you are the better off you are moving forward. I know the draft implications, etc but I gotta say... ...it was nice to see them win one. Once they got up by two scores I knew the Giants weren't coming back so I just enjoyed watching them run up the score. Can't remember the last time I felt that way. Now, lets hope for no more. :)

Totally agree, at this point there's no far and away consensus #1 pick that we're missing out on by winning.

Don't misunderstand....

....when he's on the field he's a very good player. That doesn't however mean he's as good as he will be. He flashes on several plays and makes plays most guys wouldn't, but also at times...as I said...too easily gets caught up in the wash.

I think he'll improve as he gets more game reps as in terms of minutes played he hasn't yet played 3 full games.

Bottom Line, don't interpret my criticism as I think he sucks or he isn't/won't be a great player. I just have an observation in regards to his play that he can IMO improve on.

Agree - Foster is doing great and you can really see his impact out there, especially in being a rookie and not even playing three full games as you mention. Also, he has to play next to a back-up LB in Coyle who is just that - a back-up. Foster of course has room to improve but I really like what I'm seeing out there so far.

Sure, it's natural to let down in the 4Q down 31-13 but to act like they rolled over the whole game is incorrect IMHO.

Maybe not as a whole but Jenkins alone probably costed them the game. Went from being an Elite CB to one who looked like a undrafted rookie this game. Our 2 biggest plays were on him, and other missed tackles in the game he simply just stuck his arm out. It's was disgusting. If I'm the Giants I will suspend him without pay until the season is over. Hopefully teach him a lesson.

His performance last Sunday was comical. Like you said, not just the pass plays but also the "run support". He has his tee times booked already.

Yeah, that is true. He does seem like a disgruntled player. Wasn't he in some drama with the coaches recently too?

When his mind is right... He turns into Jack Rabbit. Jack Rabbit IS a baller. I bet you money say in a fresh new season and we get a couple pass rushers, Lynch and Saleh would have him playing legit.

If we strike out on Trumaine/Butler/Breeland and Jenkins became available id roll the dice and draft a CB in the 2nd/3rd.

Yeah suspended for not showing up to practice "just because".. he's a cancer. Like I said suspended without pay for the remainder of the season if possible

I agree. Browns have been bad for years and are on the verge of going 0-16 despite all of their previous bad seasons and a ton of draft picks. You have to draft well, regardless of where you pick in the draft...the good teams do this, the bad teams don't
